I have been pricing out area rugs for months. When I saw the price of these rugs, for all three rugs, I was a little leery about purchasing because I didn't know if the quality would be that good considering that they were such a good buy. Boy, was I surprised! The quality of the rugs is excellent---soft, plush, non-shedding. I was also very happy to see that they were made in Italy and not in China. So tired of everything that you buy in the USA being made in China! I have already recommended these rugs to friends!

The Forester Classic is what it states...a classic! I looked extensively online for 100% wool at an affordable price. Beware of cheap imitations out there that are blended fibers and made oversees. I found 3 brands made in the USA and would offer any of them proudly done here. However, this price point was the most competitive and I was fortunate that the colors worked out for me, as this price was about $*** less than others. Seems to be some reviews about the color as disappointing, but I did not find it so. When you look at the magnification, you can see there are all kinds of colors in here, even pink and blue etc. That sounds like it would be gaudy but no. Somehow, for all the threads, it still has something of a neutral tone. I am not sure HOW it does that, but it does. I have this in room with pale blue walls and medium oak furniture. When I walk into the room, I see predominantly the brown hue and some blue flash. Thus, it might depend on what you have around the rug. I also bought two smaller Forester for my kitchen and that room is neutral..tans, browns, whites. The rugs do not look out of place or off color. All and all I am extremely pleased with the tight weave. I have had these about one month...easy to clean--and proud to buy American.

At first I was disappointed with this rug due to details in it that I hadn't seen in the picture while shopping. (I'm referring to brown 'stripes' on all the tan branches which made it busier than I'd imagined.) I called Overstock and got approval to return it at no cost to me. But then I started liking it more and more and concluded that I was definitely going to keep it. I haven't regretted it for a moment. NOTE: This is how I search for the rugs I want -- a) Use search words NEW ZEALAND WOOL RUG...or...SCULPTED WOOL RUG...and then added the size I wanted in the search also. Those searches tended to get me all the wool rugs which were often 1" thick. b) I always, ALWAYS checked for the thickness of the rug, preferring 3/4" to 1" thick. c) I feel like the all WOOL rugs have the richest look and feel. / I hope this helps. FYI, I also bought a pad for my rug (but ever one with non-slip strips on it, in part because they're so, so flimsy) and always, ALWAYS have one under my rugs...unless they're on wall-to-wall carpeting. 13 Nov 2014 // Brook
