I had already purchased this rug in the 6x9 size and liked it so much I also ordered this 5x8 for another area. I almost didn't order this pattern because it didn't look very attractive in the photo. The rug is much, much, much more attractive in person than it is online. The colors are gorgeous---true ivory background with camel/taupe(I wouldn't describe it as gold) border and gorgeous blue/green and burgundy highlights. This rug is in a room with "silver sage" (Rest. Hdwr.) color walls and looks great. Very rich and expensive looking. Excellent quality from a very reputable manufacturer.

The rug is plush with a nice geometrical design that goes well with my decor. I like that the borders are black, which will show less dirt, as the borders seem to get dirty very quickly. However, the excessive shedding keeps me from recommending it wholeheartedly. But aside from the excessive shedding, it is a decent rug.

I hesitated to order this rug because there were no previous reviews. The picture looks like the center and outer border are dark burgundy or even plum, but in reality those areas are a medium red. The border than looks tan in the online pic is indeed a light cream or ivory. The blues are more silver, grey and charcoal looking to me. I think this would look great in a room with grey toned paint, but it just didn't work for us.

This rug is an absolute steal! The quality and attention to detail on this piece is impeccable for the money you're paying. It's a very neat way to incorporate a metallic accent (silver) and texture (black bamboo) into your room. The edges are finished and seamed with black canvas like border. The rug itself is black bamboo (very sturdy). And the picture really doesn't do it justice at all. It actually distorts it. The silver on the rug comes from a metallic silver thread which is used to create a pattern in the piece by weaving it throught the black bamboo slats. The pattern is best described as a checkered pattern, alternating a dominate black square with thin ribbons of metallic silver weaved through it. The other checkered square is predominately covered in the silver metallic thread leaving thin ribbons of the black bamboo peaking through.I bought the larger of the 2 sizes and still can't believe that I got it for under $100. I know this rug will last awhile. Its well made, looks very expensive, and is contemporary.Don't be afraid to check it out. Awesome buy!

I bought two rugs in this design. I am happy with the large size. It fits under an oversized dining room table and the rug is still large enough for its borders to show. The rugs are soft and noticeable good quality. The rug does look exactly as depicted, however the pattern cut shown online has much more brown than you actually get. This is NOT a brown rug with fall color highlights. It is a multi-colored rug with some shades of brown. The "carmel" color depicted has deep mustard yellow/rust overtones. If those colors suit your scheme you will love this rug. It is high quality and impressive to guests.

I really like the rug. One of the colors was more silver than sage, but it went with my decor so I didn't mind. The ordering, shipping, and billing process was fast and easy. Great buy for the money.

Colors are quite muted compared to the photo. Much prettier in real life, but color palate is more winter/spring than fall. Main color is between dove grey and medium grey - a true grey, not charcoal or silver. Secondary main color is ivory (not white, but no gold or beige either. true ivory).Other colors include icy steel blue, gold that is like a butter/mustard color (mustard, but softer. less of an autumn color, more of a spring golden yellow), coffee brown which almost has a hint of burgundy (but is not red or maroon at all), a very beige-y mauve (a pinkish taupe), a lighter peachy mauve, and a soft latte beige-y brown (not tan, but like a very milky latte). The design is sophisticated, not cheap-looking at all. Thickness is accurately stated. I purchased a Durable Hard Surface Carpet and Rug Pad to place underneath, and it feels incredibly plush underfoot. Edges of rug are straight (which is not the case with the pad) and I've seen no fraying or loose threads. There was never a smell associated with the rug. As with many wool rugs, it sheds quite a bit. Our rug sits on a dark espresso-colored mahogany floor. It gets a lot of foot traffic, and the fibers are visible on the floor, but they lessen over time and weekly cleanup seems to suffice in keeping the room looking tidy. Our carpet salesman said rugs should be frequently vacuumed anyway, to keep the fibers from matting. Win-win.
