I like this rug. It looks better than he picture in terms of depth. The colors are exactky as pictured. The border is olive, but the area within the border is sage green. All the rugs I've purchased have very nice backings and are plush.

The rug is beautiful, nicely made, definitely worth the price. I ordered this rug because of the reviews stating that the color was not olive...and I definitely concur. If you are looking for a sage/moss colored rug, as I was, this one is for you!

This is a beautiful rug. It is thick and the colors are beautiful. But it does not have a charcoal background or border. In fact it doesn't have any charcoal in it. It has an olive green background and border with accent colors of sage, burgundy, orange, gold, tan and ivory. The overall color of the rug is olive green.

The seagrass rug with olive border arrived in just three days. It was just what I wanted for under a small wicker table and chairs. It gives my sunroom the update it needed and at a very nice price..

I have been looking for a dark red 6X9 rug for almost two years now and almost gave up hope. I was a little worried about buying this rug at first, since I could only go by the colors on the computer and the other reviews. You really are taking a leap of faith when you buy something online where you can't see the true colors or feel the actual quality. Well, the rug showed up today and I am so glad I took a chance! The quality is very good (excellent actually, when you consider the price). The colors, as other reviewers have noted, are a bit more subdued than in the picture. The border is indeed more olive than gold, and the red is more of a muted burgundy than a vivid red. But since that (muted colors) is what I was looking for, this rug was perfect! My husband even liked it, which is saying a lot, since he really doesn't care about home decor. A real winner -- if you are looking for a good quality, inexpensive 6X9 rug with beautiful muted burgundy and olive colors, then this is the rug for you!

The border is brown, no brown mentioned in description. If you like brown, you will like this rug

This rug does not have any gold in it. The border is an ugly drab olive green. The picture is very misleading and it makes me wonder if I got the wrong rug. I hate this rug but who has time to set up a return on a 6 x 9 rug.

The rug is everything I expected it to be. I particularly love the design - as it is not your "norm" indoor/outdoor rug (beige with border). The rug's design has a casual elegance feel. I am thrilled with my purchase. The color says it is "olive" which was ok with me - but it has more brown hues than green. It is perfect!

This rug is a very nice quality but the color is way off. I was expecting a nice, neutral tan border and what I got was an olive green looking color. My husband even thought it was sage when he first saw it. We are keeping it because returning a giant rug seems like a pain.

This rug is beautiful. The brown is the color of melted milk chocolate, the red a dark cranberry, the gold is not too yellow or too bright. The blue is more of a teal, reminds me of faded denim with a little green mixed in. There is light olive green, and a darker green, somewhere between an olive and a spruce green. The lighter color on the border is what I would call a light tan. There is some gray, which blends in and is the least noticable color in the rug, but it is there and not listed in the description. It measures 4'11" x 7'10", not quite 5x8'. It is wool, so I expect shedding, as my last two rugs did, but it slows down after a while. I have seen in some rug reviews in general, that people have trouble with the corners curling up, I find that turning the end of the rug under, and letting it sit that way or a day or two, really helps, mine have always flattened in no time. I would buy this rug again.

I like the rug, but the description on the website is incomplete and outdated. First, this is a berber rug, i.e. there is no pile, it's hooked. Maybe I misread the description but I do not think it is stated explicitly. Second, I think over the years the manufacturer changed the colors. It is still straw yellow and beige but instead of olive thread and border mentioned by previous reviewers I have blue. Said this, the blue on the background is very light and almost invisible from two steps away. The border is mix of blue and brown, the result is the color of slate. It is much darker than the rug but still somehow rather neutral. I was hoping for olive border, based on previous reviews. Even though the border is slate/brown/blue, it does not clash with my green/ olive living room carpet because this rug is VERY neutral. It is thin but made of good wool, so it does not look cheap, just very casual. If you are looking to put it into a formal traditional dining room, it will not work, but will be a great rug for contemporary / casual decor. I kept the rug and really like it, despite the fact that it is not at all what I expected.

This is a pretty rug, but there is no gold!!!!! Its a sage, olive color with hints of coffee, beige, hunter green and rust along the border. Its pretty and plush, but I am somewhat disappointed. Craftsmanship is well done. This rug certainly fits into the "neutral" catagory of rugs. There are no vibrant colors that pop.

I got this rug about 3 weeks ago. There is some olive green in the border. The rug is beautiful and makes a statement but the colors are not bold. Overall the rug is subtle and neutral enough to complement different decors. It is plush and well made with some shedding initially. I love it - it goes wonderfully with my natural oak wood floor, dark wood furniture and beige leather sofa.

This rug is amazing and overstock was great to work with. I was worried about ordering something sight unseen, but this rug is a great quality. The colors are a bit different that the photo- the border is much less creamy or butter colored. It's really an olive green color. The center looks pretty true to reality. My husband and I are very pleased with this purchase!

This rug is thick and comfortable to walk on. Its has a deep cherry red background with olive green and taupe designs. The border has a cream colored background. I know its always tricky buying rugs online -- in this case colors appeared darker on my monitor than in real life. It does shed a lot, so be prepared to vacuum at least once a week.

I agree that the color is more sage than olive. Also that it does shed a lot (so far have had for about 1 month and still shedding). But overall I like the rug a lot - it is the color I was hoping for (knowing ahead of time that others said it was less olive than sage), and is soft and fairly thick.

I have been looking for a rug for our new '4'x7' pool table. Noticed this rug and always returned to view it. I read the review about the color, especially how the green is more olive and the rust is more brown. Decided to take the risk and purchase it. Very happy I took the risk. Really attractive rug. The green in the border is more like an olive color. However, there are small dark green leaves infused in the pattern of the rug and it looks very well with the green felt on our pool table. The husband was pleasantly surprised with it as well and likes how it compliments the pool table as well as any other room in the house. Would love to purchase a larger size for our family room because the colors really look well with our dark tile floors. I will consider overstock.com for future area rug purchase.

This is the 5th or 6th rug that I have bought from Overstock. Definitely my 'go to' place for high quality wool rugs. This rug is no exception. The predominant color is olive green with a very light tan border. Accent colors of chocolate brown and gold blend beautifully. A large scale print perfect for my media room. This rug has not shed at all and I have had it in place for a couple weeks. A great deal for the price! Thanks again Overstock.

Pros - Color is pretty much what you see, a medium sage center and a dark olive border. It actually measures 1" short on the width and length. I have tile floors and it is heavy enough without anything underneath to keep it from sliding.Cons - Leaves shoe prints because of the plush material. Needs vacuuming for a period of time to get all the loose material up (as most wool rugs do).Nice rug for the money.
