I was wanting to bring a little more color into my room, and this did just that. It's very cute. The glass candle holders are perfect. It is definitely worth the price! I would definitely recommend this!
I ordered several of the candle trays as gifts for Thanksgiving. I am planning to place one at each of the couple's place settings and light all the candles just before everyone comes to the table. It will fill our dining room with soft light and set the mood for giving thanks.Of course, I have already *tested* one out and was thrilled by the glow. My husband entered the dining room and asked about the candles. I explained my plan. He could not believe that I was able to purchase enough trays for everyone and stay within our Thanksgiving budget.We have much for which to be thankful \- especially Overstock!
It would have been a great value for the money spent if it had reached without any damage. The wooden tray was chipped, there is a scratch on one of the glasses and the rim of another one is chipped. the stones could have been more to cover the entire base of the tray. I guess if it hadn't had to come all the way from CA to CT it would have survived better. The packaging was not enough to help this product to be intact and though it came with a Fragile - handle with care notice, it didn't help either. The colors thrown when the candles are lighted are beautiful, I wish it had arrived in a better condition.
I have to agree with the previous reviewer, this is so cheaply made that it isn't even worth it, at this price. The paint is flecking off of the votive holders (right out of the box), the tray is shallow, flimsy and there are not enough river rocks. Since I'll have to go to the local craft store, to get more river rocks, I may as well pick up nicer votive holders and a solid tray. It is cute but I intended it as a gift, and it is not suitable. It would never hold up to regular use.
