Wonderful cabinet
I've been searching for a recessed spice cabinet for my kitchen to save on space...at last my search is over. I love this product. It is so well made, I believe the wood is pine. Sand it, then paint or stain. The back is not attached allowing you to use it as your template and comes with small screws to attach to back of cabinet prior to installing. Also, makes it easier to paint or stain. Put a bead of liquid nails around the inside edge of the cabinets decorative molding, push it in the wall and your done. I know this was probably not meant to be used as a spice cabinet, because of the glass shelves, but all the other recessed spice cabinets that I found were very narrow, much more expensive and made of luan. I have a lot of spices and needed something large. The interior dimensions are 3 1/2" deep x 12 1/2" wide x 41" long. Very spacious. They have other sizes as well. I might order another one for my living room. Love it!
