I needed extra workspace with no fuss and this is it - folded it takes up barely any space; unfolded it easily handles an oversized computer monitor, keyboard, and plenty of room for the mouse. At Thanksgiving dinner, it added room for 3 more people (if we had it separate from the main table it would've seated 4 comfortably). It is sturdy but it is not hefty so it does wobble a bit if you are putting heavy things on it. For the price it is a great value and a great thing to have on hand for whatever extra surface needs you may have.
