It's a well made set, and overall I'm pleased. The knives were sharp, but not as sharp as I had expected. I use them every day. Good value. I'd recommend it to a friend.

I would expect that a brand new knife set would never again be as sharp as the day I open the box. Tested these beside my old one and it didn't do any better. You'de expect "Sushi" knives to be dreadfully sharp. I could even cut myself on what I received. They are beautiful to look at, have a good weight and appear to be made very well. I even like the way the indentions on the side stop the slices from sticking to the blade, but...l and this is a big BUT these knives aren't very sharp and I do not believe I could in fact cut sushi with them. It's a shame! I'm glad they were hugely discounted! I'd be angry if I had paid full price and would return them! As it is, they were very inexpensive and worth what I paid, just expect to have to sharpen them yourself when they arrive!

Beautiful, excellent consruction, nice in the hand--I am very happy with these knives. A wonderfu addition to my kitchen and collection of tools.

These knives are an unbelievable value! The only reason that I didn't give them an overall 5 star rating, is the case. The case that they come in is very cheesy; it was fine for me, but as a gift, I would have to repackage the knives.
