Very good value compared to stores and other online merchants. Bought it for my wife since she likes it soft, but I like a firm mattress and I didn't think I would be able to sleep on it. I was wrong. Been sleeping on it for about 4 months and I love it as much as my wife. And as the name says, it isnt hot at all to sleep on. My only gripe is the california king is too small for my bed by about 8". Am thinking about gluing a piece of regular foam on each side to make it fit the bed.

We've had the topper for 2 weeks, and it's wonderul! It didn't smell at all when it was unboxed, but we aired it out anyway for 24 hours - which caused the creases from shipping to disappear completely. I have severe back and shoulder problems, but since we've been using the topper, I haven't experienced any pain in the pressure points. I would recommend buying this topper to anyone. The 3 inch height is perfect for deeper pocket sheets.

After sleeping on a bed that did nothing but keep me awake at nights, we decided to purchase this topper. Best thing we did. At first the smell was slight, but when we opened it up and let it air out for about 4-5 hours it was almost gone. Before putting on the sheets we sprayed it with some Febreeze and then once more after the sheets were put on and no problem. Best sleep I've had in at least 2 years.Stays cool throughout the night for those of you that can't stand a warm bed.Retains shape immediately after getting up. No lumps, bumps or bunching. Be aware You should get some sheets that will cover the mattress and the topper as your regular sheets might not fit. Extra deep should work. We get up refreshed and ready to go after sleeping on this . If you are considering this topper, do it. you won't be disapointed.

I purchased this item to use on top of a mattress that was far too hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. I had used another memory foam topper, which slept uncomfortably warm. The bedding you use has a lot to do with how this topper will perform for you. In order to get the best results, you need to use natural fabrics only. I use a 100% cotton pad, cotton sheets, and a down comforter and the topper works exactly as advertised.

I bought this mattress pad after checking out numerous pads on different websites. We received the item in the promised time and it was in good shape. I have back pain in several areas and generally toss and turn at night but after we put the memory foam pad on the bed that all stopped. My wife and I both are getting a much better nights sleep. We put the pad on the bed under our existing zip on pillow top and have none of the "heat" issues that some folks seem to be having. My only "complaint" is that I can still smell the pad when I get into bed. This is after we let the pad air out for about a day and a half before we put it on the bed. The odor is pretty faint but it is still there.

I've owned a "memory foam" mattress before and we had to get rid of it because it retained so much heat so I was hesitant to try this pad. This pad holds a bit more heat than if you did not have one at all, but it is SO much cooler than a regular memory foam pad. Did not smell bad at all and is very comfy.

After 3 nights it was off the bed. It wasn't wide enough to cover the complete mattress, turned my queen into a full. Both my husband and myself felt like we were rolling out of bed. To get security, we both were turning to the center and encroaching on each others sleeping space. I guess I should have bought a new mattress rather than trying this.

We bought a new mattress & used it for about 2 years. My husband & I would wake up hurting all over...sometime with numb arms. We hated to buy a new mattress so soon so we thought we would try a memory foam topper. I have not ever owned one of these before but due to some of the reviews, I got the mem-cool one because I sure didn't want to be hot! I ordered the mattress on a Friday, Monday was a holiday, & got it on Thursday. I opened it & it "fluffed" right up & it had very little odor to it. We slept on it that night! I liked it right away & my husband liked it after a couple of nights of getting use to it. We have been using it for about a month & a half & we both love it. Now we don't wake up hurting on whatever side of our body we are laying on. Because of the reviews, I did buy a king size for my queen bed. It was perfect on the length & about a foot too wide. We used an electric knife to cut it & it cut it very neatly & smooth. The queen size one might have been a little short, I don't know. I think it was a very good investment & a good experience with Overstock.com

After many years of sleeping in a waterbed, my husband's backaches forced us to buy a new mattress. We spent over $1,000 for a California king mattress that seemed wonderful in the display room. It felt like I was sleeping on a concrete slab and I spent most nights sleeping in my recliner for the next few months. Finally, we decided to try a memory foam mattress topper. Because we live in Florida and both of us tend to get too hot at night we were worried about how a foam mattress topper would feel. We decided to give 'Mem-Cool' 3-inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper a try. It was delivered in just a few days and even though the box was ripped open in transit, the mattress was packed and sealed so well, it was not damaged at all. The topper fit the bed perfectly and aired out within 6 hours. We had been using a thick comforter as padding under the sheet and continue this practice, so that may help with keeping cool. My husband is sleeping better than ever (no morning backaches) and I am sleeping in our bed once again!

Bought a 4" mattress topper prior to this one and it was so uncomfortable we had to get rid of it. Bought this topper and found it to be extremely comfortable because it conforms so well to our bodies. Very happy with the support it provides.

The topper has made our mattress so much more comfortable. We bought the king size and cut it with an electric knife to the correct size for our mattress. I haven't decided what to do with the leftovers, but I will be making cushions. The topper did not need much time to unfold. The smell was not as bad as other ratings stated. It has eliminated pressure points and when we sleep on our sides our arms do not become numb. We received the topper during the hottest weather - it was not any warmer than the mattress alone. We are very pleased. When we buy another topper we will probably buy the 4 inch thick topper. But we are very pleased with this one. Good value for the price.

I love this cool memory foam. The regular memory foam makes me sweat, this foam is cool. I love it. Me and my husband have never had a better nights sleep since we bought this!

My husband and I wanted a new mattress so we went to a locally manufactured mattress company(thinking they'd take better care of us)and bought a new mattress for $960.00. We immediately began waking up with low back pain (which I have never had). The local company basically told us too bad, go buy a topper. So I price shopped a lot and read many reviews and bought this memcool 3inch topper and we are happy sleepers now. It is a good idea to air it out a day (due to odor)but we only did for about 8 hrs. and it wasn't bad once we covered it with a sheet. I would rec. this it was good quality and the price was great for a king size bed.

We have a platform bed which means we don't use a box spring - and so our bed was on the firmer side. The mattress topper makes the bed so comfy and plush. The topper cradles my body - it's very very comfy! Even though it is made to be cooler, it does still trap some body heat - which will be so great in colder months. For the summer, we just ended up getting an even lighter blanket to compensate for the added warmth. I am so happy with my foam mattress topper! I didn't have an issue with smell when it arrived. But just to be safe, I had it air out and puff up in another room for a few days before putting it on the bed.

This is the 2nd "mattress topper" we have used. The first we had for about 2 years and although it was comfortable, we would find ourselves waking up in gullies and the topper provided a warm sleeping surface as there was little to no air flow thorough the foam. So, we decided to try the "Mem-cool" topper. Does it provide a cooler sleeping surface? Yes, it is somewhat cooler than the previous topper. Is it soft? Not necessarily. The topper is more on the firm side. However, we do notice that we are not tossing and turning as much as we did with the previous topper. This topper seems to provide a good base for distribution of our weight. Are we satisfied? Yes. Is it the best money can buy? Who knows? However, we are sleeping comfortably and believe it was a good investment. ALR

The mattress topper arrived in a timely manner. I let it "poof" up and air for about a day and a half. It didn't have the smell that some mentioned. It's comfortable to sleep on . Overall, we're happy with it.

I read numerous reviews and web sites and thought this would be the best value and most comfortable for us. Both my husband and I are side sleepers and our weights are within what's recommended for this thickness. It was supposed to be cooler than other toppers with some kind of open cell constructions for better air circulation. (Ha!) But there are a number of major problems with the topper:1. It is way too hot! It feels like you're sleeping on synthetic foam and it doesn't "breathe" as it's advertised to. Or maybe it does, and a topper that DOESN'T would be even worse!2. Both my husband (175 lbs.) and I (120 lbs) sank way too deeply into it. Perhaps one that was thinner would've been better.3. The topper arrived with a 5 inch tear in the middle, but trust me, once you unwrap this huge, unwieldy thing you won't want to deal with getting back in the box to mail back.We tried it for 2 weeks and couldn't take it any longer. We actually missed our hard-packed futon. Maybe that was the silver lining of purchasing it...we are now enjoying our old futon again!

I purchased this memory foam topper for my 2 year old mattress. While I was skeptical about buying one of these, my fiancee encouraged me to do so. Once it was opened, it quickly opened up to its actual size. As previous reviews have mentioned (for other foam toppers) this one did not have an odor. It is very heavy to manuver, can be done by one person - but much easier if there are two set of hands involved. I have noticed that it does seem to be cooling effect while sleeping - I have noticed that I haven't had to run the AC too much in the evening.If your looking for added comfort to your existing mattress, I would recommend this product.
