It took me a while to find a kettle I really like. I couldn't find one anywhere. I was very hesitant about purchasing online, but it was just pefect. It had a very nice whistle, not too loud, but not too low. The handle was perfect. I did not need an oven mit to hold it. I would have liked the price to be a bit lower, but to tell you the truth, I think it was a great value.

of the last 3 things i ordered from O, this was the one that was right. the pot was exactly what i expected. It was reasonably priced, though if I had had to pay for shipping it would have been higher overall than in a retail store.

Do NOT buy this tea kettle! After having it for a few weeks, I was boiling water, grabbed it to fill my cup, and the handle separated from the spout! It is so poorly constructed, and you can't see this with the picture shown above. Had I been looking away, I would have grabbed the kettle, and hot water would have poured all over me! I was wondering where I bought this darn tea kettle! Had I remembered and not thrown it away, I would have sent this thing straight back demanding a refund.

Good medium size, Whistle fine. Does not burn with steam when whistle lifts.

This kettle is very thin and light weight, which I like. However the first time I boiled water in it the steam smelled terrible. I was nervous to drink the water, so I rinsed it and boiled water again. This time the water still smelled, and the whistle mechanism fell off. I managed to get it back on, but it was a little discomforting so have a new item made for cooking smell so chemically, and have pieces falling off it. The whistle is staying on now, but we'll see if it falls off again. After a few more boils the steam and water seem to smell ok so I'm drinking tea from it now. On another note, the plastic handle heats up quite a bit when boiling water, which doesn't bother me much(I just use a dishtowel or my sleeve to lift it) but may bother others. Overall, I would opt for a different model next time, and not reccomend this to a friend.

This a nice kettle which was the size I was looking for. It makes a low nice when boiling which is something I like.

i thinks this product was expensive. it is very light weight, made of thin steel and i don't believe it last long. i am not happy with my purchase.

I had a hard time deciding whether to get this 2qt. stainless steel tea kettle or the bigger 3qt.stainless steel tea kettle. I think the 2 qt. size is just right. It is not too heavy when full of water. It seems like it takes quite awhile for the whistle to blow, but when it does you know it is hot. It looks very pretty on top of my stainless steel stove.

Love my new tea kettle. Very modern shape, looks great just sitting on my stove. Water heats quickly and the whistle is one that you you can probably hear in any room of your house. Perfect making the big pot of tea.

This kettle is so flimsy. I can barely hear the whistle and you'd burn yourself if you tried open spout with the little black lever.

I love my new Tea Pot. It is a perfect size and has good quality. Delivery was quick and very professional. I love the way it whistles when the water is very hot and ready for a delicious cup of tea. Thank You for having this product available at a great price.

Just purchased this tea kettle on November of 2009 and found the following:1. Looks nice.2. The thickness or gauge is very thin.3. Use it ~10 times within 2 weeks and the kettle had a leak between the seam on the bottom and top.The leak was proven again when I placed water and found the seam wet. This leak got to my cast iron grill on the stove and started to rust the grill.Beware.. This product is really poor quality.

I like the appearance of the teakettle, as I was looking for something in stainless steel, and the black trim helps set it off. It was lighter weight than I expected, and the thumb piece for opening the spout is a little hard to reach (I have small hands), but i have gotten used to it. If you're looking for something with a whistle and want the stainless steel look, this is fine. It is worth the price.

great little teapot - does what a teapot should. Handle doesn't get hot, water heats quickly. It's a little thin, so easily dented, but it's nice that it's so light - after all, its just for water.

I liked it--it arrived promptly and it is good quality.

I am very pleased with the tea kettle. The wistle on it lets you know when the water is hot eneough. The water is just the right temp.. And the handle doesn't burn your hand when you lift to pour the water. I would recommend this tea kettle and the price is definitely affordable.

I ordered the kettle and It arrived very quickly....but when I opened the box I was disappointed. I've ordered many items over the years and this is the first time I didn't feel the item was worth the money.....usually I'm very pleased. This purchase will not stop me from ordering in the future.

What a piece of junk! I bought this to replace a broken kettle. Flimsy, cheap plastic parts atop an amazingly thin steel kettle. Very disappointing.

With a limited budget, I have taken a long time to find a Tea Kettle that was not priced too high. I have seen a lot of Tea Kettles that look really good but the price seemed unreasonable. This Tea Kettle looked nice, priced well and I could shop at home. The process to order was easy and delivery was quick. I have used the Tea Kettle every day since I recieved it. The whistle is reliable and the handle never gets hot. I am more than pleased with my purchase. It continues to look like new and I have no complaints.

product pretty much as expected.:lightweight, attractive,easy to use. Picture seems to indicate that there is some kind of a black design,of course the kettle is merely staniless steel.
