It is a fun conversational piece. Yes, the map doesn't match up exactly. Unless you are examining it, the mis-match isn't that noticeable. If you want a*** globe, you aren't going to get one for ***. Let's be realistic. It's a good piece for the cost.Read More
I read the reveiws and then ordered it anyway. I immediately contacted Overstock's customer care to say PLEASE MAKE SURE THE VENDOR UNDERSTANDS THAT WE WANT ONE WITH THE IMAGES LINED UP BEFORE THEY SHIP IT. What we got was every single piece of paper not lining up and there are might be 80 or more of them. You can't have this out in front of other people and claim you own it. The inside of the globe was only 50% glued and already peeling off. This was straight out of the box. This is garbage you'd find at a 99 cent store.Read More
Gave to my son in law for Christmas. We let him put it together and it took no time at all. The same globe bar sells on other sites for much more. Very good deal.Read More
I agree completely with another reviewer. This product would be great if the map would line up. I exchanged the first one for a second one and had the same problem. It is a very noticeable error and I am returning the second one and shopping elsewhere. There are some major quality control issues. I feel like you have to have some extremely good luck to get a globe that the lines match up and you can actually read the script on it because I am 2 for 2 and not willing to waste my time on a 3rd try. I would NOT recommend to buy this product.Read More
I was happy with delivery time. not had to put together. Happy with the way it looks. every thing matches up. It does what I expected. Not too large but large enough for where I wanted to put it.Read More
Gave this as a birthday present to a 25 yr old for her first "bar". Great product for that purpose. Didn't want to get her anything more expensive until we saw if she was actually going to use it and take care of it. She said she really liked it when she received it. I put it together for her and thought it's a pretty good product. Very cute too!!Read More
I was disappointed that the map didn't line up. It would have been perfect if not for that.Read More
Got this as a Father's day gift for my husband and just my luck it got delivered when he was home :-) He was good and not opened the box but I was forced to open it with home, a corner of the box it came in was damage. Thank goodness the items was safe and sound, not a cratch on any of the pieces. He was very excited to see it and is waiting until Father's Day to put it together.Read More

Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
