We were hesitant and were reluctant to buy a "Unique Memory Foam mattress" site unseen or tested in person thru an online purchase - especially when we were plopping down over $500. on a King Size version - BUT after reading so very many positive 5 star reviews about this product, we decided to take the plunge. We have been sleeping on the mattress for over a week now and all my husband and I can say is "OH MY GOD - this is THE best mattress experience we have ever had". To read in Overstock's advertisement that this mattress "will provide deep, relaxing sleep; The Pillow top provides the ultimate in Memory Foam surface feel and comfort; Uncomfortable pressure-points common in most innerspring mattresses is eliminated" is a HUGE understatement. We could only hope that half of it were true. Well, it is ALL true and then some. We are a couple who have been together for over 25 years. Being "baby boomers" we have come to distrust so much that you read in ads and what the advertisement claims the product is capable of doing. Well, this mattress has certainly come thru and has restored our faith in advertisement...at least here on Overstock.com. One only has to have lived thru many years with the tossing and turning of another partner in bed with you to know that reading the statement "Say goodbye to the motion transfer you've learned to live with" would be a dream in itself if it were true. Well, it's true. Quite frankly, I didn't think there was a mattress capable of having a bowling ball dropped on the bed and not being able to notice it if you were lying down on it, but I know this mattress would withstand the movement as I no longer feel my husband moving at night (nor he of me moving at night). What the advertisement neglects to mention is you don't hardly move at all during the sleep cycle on this mattress. Once you lie on it, you become so comfortable you can forget about reading in bed or watching TV for any length of time as you are so comfortable, you are asleep in less then 10 mins. The beauty of never having to remember to turn the mattress is another plus along with being able to use our existing box springs without having to incur the cost of new ones was a selling point for us also. When we received the mattress - in less then a week - it was packaged exceptionally well. My husband and I were able to carry the mattress from the front door to the bedroom without any problems. Once unbagged according to the directions,(AND of note - there was NO SMELL whatsoever; a large concern for us as I am asthmatic and have a horrible time in the winter months) we put the mattress on the bed and left for work. When we returned there was no smell whatsoever and the mattress had completely puffed to a nice 13 inches (not 14 inches as noted but who cares about 1 inch). I was concerned our current sheets wouldn't fit but they did with no issues, but they had come off of our Thomasville Pillow Top Mattress and were on the "deep pocket" size already. This is certainly something you may want to take in to consideration if you are thinking of purchasing this particular mattress - it is thick. Just buy some deep pocket sheets if you don't already have some while you are waiting for the mattress to arrive. Sum total of it all: We have slept so well since the first night on this mattress. We wake up with more energy and my husband's back pain is no longer an issue upon rising. He is so pleasantly pleased. Do yourself a favor, especially if you are like us where we product review for months on end when we are going to be making a major purchase, get this mattress while it is still for sale at Overstock.com. You really, really, really, can't go wrong.

We have had this mattress for almost a year and still love it as much as we did the first night. There was no smell on ours, and it fluffed up completely after a couple of hours so we were able to sleep on it the first night. It has held it's shape and feels just as great 11 months later, which is why I waited to write the review. I wanted to see how it held up, especially since my husband ruins pillow tops quickly with his large frame. It's a great value and I couldn't be happier!

Talk about being on cloud 9...this mattress is like sleeping on it every night. The product arrived very quickly. Set up was relatively easy, considering the little bugger really wanted out of the packaging, and we made certain to do as others advised and had it on the bed for the "release". There was a very slight odor (I hadn't mentioned to my husband that there would be a slight odor and he never noticed it). It sprang to life very quickly - totally amazing to observe actually - think throwing one of those compressed wash cloths in water but on an adult level. We didn't wait quite the full 48 hrs., but close. It seemed like the mattress was ready and it looked so inviting. It was soooo comfortable, I almost didn't go to work the following day b/c I didn't want to get off the mattress. My youngest granddaughter makes everyone who visits go lie on grandma & grandpa's bed and does not take no for an answer- it was a little embarrassing the first time but now I'm prepared. Bottom-line, it's a fabulous value, easy to assemble, and not only extraordinarilly comfy, but aesthetically pleasing as well. Total thumbs up from this house.

We purchased this mattress about 16 month ago and as a few other review mentioned the mattressed sagged on one side and then the other. At first we did like it but it is not good for long term. My other mattress that we got rid of was 15 years old and very comfortable. The only reason we got a new one as we needed a King vs Queen.

This bed has been by far my best large ticket purchase EVER! Long story, short...... I live in an old Victorian house with a very narrow stairwell. Getting a queen up the stairs was a torturous occasion. I never fathomed a king fitting up those stairs. I am now 5 months pregnant and my need for quality sleep has grown. I became quite persistent in finding a way to make a king work. I hear that "memory foam" can be bent in half when necessary. EVEN BETTER! When order is placed online it is shipped vacuum packed and rolled up. Went up the stairs with ease. Slowly it returned to it's natural shape. Smell dissipated after a day or so. Barely noticed it.... I don't even notice my husband or 2 cats in bed with me. I never feel them move and there is plenty of room for us all to spread out. This bed is heavenly. Perfect firmness/softness. Great Buy!

Thank God someone made this mattress ! I am so happy that I no longer have to lay there awake with my legs and hips burning. I have fybro myalgia and I can't have a spring mattress. It burns like fire everywhere a spring comes into contact with my body. This is the perfect answer to my problem. I have not slept this well in so many years. I woke up today on the rightside of the bed for once and I actually feel rested which for me is practically impossible. People with fybro myalgia don't get the deep sleep that restores the body. They say it feels like having every drop of energy drained from your body all the time. I would say this is a very accurate description. So any help with this problem at all is actually a lot of help. Do not toss and turn in pain another night. Get this mattress ! Thank you to OverStock for making this mattress so afordable so that it was possible for me to buy it. It looks amazing on the metal bedframe I also ordered on Overstock. So in short this bed is awesome !

We purchased this mattress about 9 months ago on the recommendation of a friend. We did like it at the beginning, but now it seems that the "memory" in memory foam is of the indentation made by our bodies! The dip in the mattress stays about 3 inches lower than the edge of the mattress even when we aren't in the bed. As a result, the condensed mattress feels hard as a rock now.The mattress also reflects heat, so blankets are not necessary. Don't bother with this mattress. Get a traditional mattress or softsided waterbed instead.

I bought my mattress three years ago, I wanted to wait until I had the mattress a while before I wrote my review, to make sure it held up. When I first started sleeping on it the experience was amazing, and two years later I am still as pleased as I was at the beginning. I do turn my mattress every few months, because I tend to sleep in the same spot each night.The only problem I have now, is not with my mattress, but when I am traveling or staying with someone else. I have a very hard time getting comfortable in a regular spring mattress, regardless of the quality. This mattress has spoiled me completely.I recommend this without reservation--it is a great mattress at a great price.

I was a bit skeptical buying this mattress online. But I have to say, I do not regret it. It is very comfortable and it feels great. The pillow top is an added bonus. It's luxury at an affordable price. I wish I had something bad to say, but I do not. I highly recommend it.Stephanie

I want to cry. After reading all the reviews I decided to go ahead and buy this mattress. I was SO excited I couldn't wait to get a good night's sleep. There was no smell and it didn't take long for the mattress to take shape, but this is the HARDEST mattress I've ever laid on. Now I know it says there can be different firmness in each mattress but come on. This is ridiculous. It felt like I was sleeping on the floor. The foam was totally ungiving and our bodies didn't leave any impression whatsoever. My back hurts more than ever. Chances are maybe I just got a bad one, but for this much money on a non returnable item, I wouldn't take the chance. I'm so disappointed I will never buy anything from Overstock again.

This mattress is better than we expected. We had been shopping around for a memory foam mattress and could not justify the prices. We have been sleeping on this mattress for 3 weeks now and have never slept better. My husband doesn't think it is a memory foam because it doesn't remember to wake us up in the morning!! We previosly had a pillow top mattress and after 10 years was time to replace it. It had formed dips and no matter how many times we rotated it and flipped it the dips were still there. After purchasing this mattress we both have been sleeping through the night with no tossing and turning. It was easy to unwrap and we were easily able to carry down the hall to the bedroom and unpack it. We were able to use our existing box springs with no problem. The mattress started to rise up as soon as we unpacked it. We were able to sleep on it that night. It didn't rise up to the full 14 inches in some spots but that doesn't seem to be a problem. We are really impressed, having never made a purchase like this over the internet. The value pricing is great. I would reccomend this mattress to anyone. We are retired but don't wake up tired in the morning! This mattress is firm but also soft.

We bought this bed about one year ago. It was wonderful when we first got it and really did provide relief from my chronic hip and lower back pain, but beware. Within three months it began showing significant wear. By month eight, it was nearly unusable. After ten months, we had to go buy another new bed. This product is very poorly made and does not last at all. You will notice, as I did, that the positive reviews are mostly given immediately after purchase. This bed will not last. Save your money for a better quality product. Also, it may have a warranty, but it would be nearly impossible to actually send it back to Overstock.com.

Overall, I am very pleased with this mattress. It is very firm and has done wonders for my back. I am a larger guy, around 250 lbs. and it supports me very well. My wife thinks it is a bit too firm but is adjusting. I am not sure how it will hold up in the long run but as of right now, it is truly a pleasure to sleep on. Also, it is not too hot either...I was concerned about that but it is not an issue.

I bought this mattress because it was advertised as being memory foam, it is not, it is only a cheap imitation of the real thing, Tempurpedic. I should have known better when I saw the return policy, or lack there of. Plus, buying a mattress is like buying shoes or clothes; you have to try them first, to make sure it¿s not too soft or too firm, which is the case with this mattress. Don¿t get me wrong, a firm mattress is good for your back, but for the price of this one, I would expect a little more comfort. The top layer is finer, softer foam that the bottom layer, but neither is memory foam, which is supposed to hold a print for a few seconds, this one doesn¿t. I have had a mix of good and bad nights on it, but my girlfriend, who was on a car accident a few years back and was left with aching shoulders, can¿t say the same, it¿s way too firm for her. I¿m not saying this is a horrible product, if you¿re looking for a very firm mattress, then this might be right for you, but I just wouldn¿t recommend for any one to buy a mattress online if it can¿t be returned or exchanged, but I guess I have no one to blame but my self for that.

We were somewhat hesitant to purchase a high-dollar item like a mattress online, but on the strength of the Overstock.com reviews, we did. It arrived in a timely manner, was well-packaged, and was easy to unpack and set up. It is far and away the most comfortable mattress we have ever owned.

We ordered this mattress for ourselves and loved it so much, we ordered a second for our son. It came quickly and was easy to unwrap. The mattress quickly puffed to 13 inches...not 14 but no complaints. We were a little nervous when we ordered our first mattress, but have been very satisfied with it. Our son loved ours, so we got him his own. No more back pain in the AM!

I bought new wooden bed from overstock and this mattress. I love the bed and hate the mattress. It is really soft, once one moves closer to the edge of the bed, the mattress gets even softer and there is a feeling that one going to fall and the body touches the wooden panel of the bed. My recommendation to potential buyers: buy 17'' pillow foam not 14 if you are going to buy it. Buy this 14'' only if you like soft mattress. I like medium firness, thus I regret buying it

This is a great bed period. I slep at my friends place and when I got as usual my back was sore. Not with this bed. Everytime I sleep on it I get up with no back pain and feeling great from a good night sleep. "Get this bed!
