Being sealed in plastic packaging sometimes traps odors. A few hours of airing usually removes the odor.

I read a lot of reviews before my husband and I decided to buy this mattress. I read reviews that said their mattress didn't hold up, etc after a month or so. I have waited since April to write this review to give an honest opinion. Our mattress has held up very well. My husband and I are more than happy with the value and quality of the bed. Our kids have even 'bounced' or tried to on it. The bed has been well worth what we paid and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bed that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.The bed showed up looking like a huge tootsie, the UPS guy was needing help. This is a two person package. We got the bed unrolled around 4pm and the bed was a full 14 inches by bedtime. There was no smell. I was prepared to open the windows if necessary and it wasn't.We bought Cal king sheets off of Overstock and they fit beautifully. The mattress is as pictured, very nice. If you are wanting to make a change and don't want to spend the money the 'real' mattress people are charging, this is a great bed. We are most likely going to buy another for our guest bedroom.
Wow! This is a very comfortable mattress for the price; very firm, but the pillow top creates a little "give". We bought our daughter a queen size for her birthday and she loved it so much, we bought one for ourselves. It came rolled up in a large tube of cardboard and was very easy for two adults to set up. You do need to let it breath and fluff out for about 24 hours. The dimensions of the boxspring from our previous Cal King mattress and the bedframe do not quite match up (it is a bit longer and less wide) but it's not really enough that it is bothersome and when the bed is made, it is not noticeable. We spent about $80 to have a couple of 1/4' boards cut to lay over the boxspring to create a platform between the mattress and boxspring, as the memory foam beds need a flat, hard surface to sit on to keep their shape. With this new mattress, we don't disturb one another when turning in bed during sleep. Overall, this mattress is extremely comfortable and we are sleeping much better than before!
Although we have only had this mattress for about a month...we are quite impressed with the quality. My husband is nearly 300 lbs and I about 163. Neither of us feels the other's movement. We used to have a rather expensive Beautyrest and thought it was the best, but this beats even it. It is firm and yet soft. Your body contours dictate where your body sinks in and just how much. It cradles your body. I have had a tempurpedic brand pillow for about 25 years and know the quality of sleeping on density foam. Now got my temperpedic type mattress without the high price. We absolutely love it! Overstock.com had a great price. And believe me, I did about a month's work of research. We purchased it and it arrived just as they said it would about 10 to 14 days. Quality and value in the same sentence...it can't be beat!
My husband and I love this mattress. We've had it for about a month now, and it is so very comfortable! A slight odor went away within one day. It unpacked/unrolled very easily and "filled out" quite quickly. It is easily the best mattress we've ever had.
