We ordered the medium mattress and although it feels quite firm when I first lay down, my husband and I both sleep very soundly on this mattress. I would recommend this mattress to anyone. I have back and hip problems and this mattress causes me no discomfort.
Due to a multitude of back problems, including arthritis of spine, stenosis, etc., I have been sleeping on a big blow-up type airbed for many years. I couldn't sleep on a regular mattress as the pain would extend clear around my ribs and I could barely breathe. I bought a 4 inch memory foam topper from Overstock and put it on the air mattress. I decided since I liked the foam so well, to take the chance and order a king sized 11 inch memory foam mattress. Am I glad I did. It arrived very late in afternoon and I managed to sleep on it the first night. I barely moved the entire night. No pressure point pain anymore. I got the soft one and put my 4 inch topper on top of it, as I didn't know where to store it. That combination might be too soft for some people, but it feels just right for me and I am able to finally get a good nights sleep in a regular looking bed. I read all 500+ reviews here on this site and think I made a terrific choice. I love it!!!
Arrived fine. Folded out perfectly. no smelll detected. Plumped up to size exactly as described. Coming from a 15" we went a bit lower. Probably should have gone slightly higher then the 11" as it seems low compared to everything. Very comfortable though - now to get rid of the old one.....
I purchased the Soft version of this mattress on the advice of so many others and it is perfect for me. I was hoping that it wouldn't be too soft being that I do prefer a slightly more firm mattress and it wasn't. It comes wrapped in plastic shaped like a tube and almost immediately expands to its normal size. My mattress did have the slight odor, but that faded away within a couple of days and was hardly noticeable. I've had it for nearly four months now and it was everything I expected. For the price, you can't beat this mattress.
We had previously purchased a 4" foam topper for our queen set, which is now our guest bedroom. After loving this so much and purchasing a new bedroom set for our new house when we moved recently, we ordered this mattress. Order the "Firm". It is wonderful ... I bought a bedroom suite with a sleigh bed that is on a platform. My husband made the platform himself, and with the cost of this mattress it is a no brainer that this is the way to go for a king size mattress. I love it. This mattress is firmer than our 4" topper, but what a pleasure to sleep on. If I want to go into the "quishy sinking" feeling I will sleep on the queen set, but I am loving the this King everyday. So take my advise, BUY IT!! This is very good for bad backs and we don't disturb each other either when getting up or into the bed.
