I purchased this sheet set as a Christmas gift for my daughter & son-in-law. They both have very expensive taste and furnish their home with nothing but the best. My daughter called to tell me that these are the most luxurious sheets they have ever slept on and they both absolutely love them.

WOW! I was a bit apprehensive about these sheets, given bad reviews of other high thread count sheets. But I will be buying only these from now on. I have "graduated" from 400 thread count to 600, then 800, now the 1000! Absolutely the best! The material is heavy and feels like quality hotel sheets, Take them out of the drier right away for minimal wrinkling. They are warm and soft and smooth to the skin. I sleep like a baby.
Very generous size for the thicker mattress. I can't recommend these enough!

The weight and quality of the sheets are what I would expect of a 1000 TC set, but it is not soft to the touch. I have washed twice so far and am hoping that with a few more washes the fabric will loosen up and become a bit more soft. I would not buy these as a gift given the first impression...will see if they get better with time.

First the good parts. The sheets have the look and feel of the more expensive 1500 thread count sheets that I recently purchased. The fabric strength and quality are fine. They are the perfect weight for sleeping under just the sheets - no blanket. Now the bad parts. After only one washing, the pillow cases shrank too much to fit my pillows. The end of the pillows are visible all of the time. The fitted sheet won't stretch all the way to the corners of the bed or extend far enough down the side to reach the bottom of the mattress without looking pulled out of shape. The color, while attractive, is not ivory. It's more of a cross between gold and tan. I had none of these problems with the more expensive 1500 thread count sheets which I also purchased on Overstock.
I purchased this sheet set (Queen/White) 6 months ago and thought they were a bit too rough and rigid out of the package, but thought they would soften up with repeated washings. They are just as uncomfortable now as they were then. I've moved back to my last set of Overstock sheets that are much more comfy than these. Now I am back on the hunt for a great set of new sheets...

If you buy a set of these sheets you might as well go ahead and buy two sets, you will want another so you won't have to do without them while the first set is being laundered. They really are that good. If you go from a 300-400 count set you won't notice a lot of difference at first, you'll wonder what the big deal is, that is until you try to sleep on the old sheets again, they'll feel like sandpaper, thus the reason I say buy two sets now.

I have bought sheets from overstock in the past and was very happy with the sheets, however this time I was terribly disappointed with the sheets I ordered this time. When I opened the package the sheets felt like painting tarps. I had read the reviews and washed the sheets a couple of times to try and soften them up. However this did not happen, I have washed these sheets at least 20 times and have found NO difference in the sheets. I have tried sleeping on these sheets and I hated the canvasy feel of the sheets and I put my old sheets back on the bed that I had purchased here in the past. The 800 count sheets I purchased in the past are of far better quaility than the 1000 count. I would not recommend these sheets to my worst enemy!!!!!

These sheets are simply sublime. I had the most amazing sleep the first time I tried them. They are skillfully made, and the fabric is luxuriant and rich. You can really tell the thread count the first time you touch them. They are an excellent investment in sleep. Just by examining them you can tell that they will last for years.

Just received the sheets and washed them! They are exactly what I had hoped for. They are thick, but it's only because it's a high quality sheet. There's a slight sheen, and they are very soft! I would recomment to anyone, and I think I may order a set for my parents for Christmas!

We have ordered several sets of thousand count sheets from overstock in the past. These are the only ones that have been a disappointment to us. My husband says he feels like he has sandpaper rash all over and he was only on them for about an hour before I had to remove them and put some of our old ones back on the bed. I had washed them 4 times prior to putting them on the bed. If you are trully used to 1000 ct. sheets, you will be majorly disappointed!

I had previously ordered a set of 1000 count Egyptian cotton sheets which were fantastic. When I wanted another set that was not available in the color I wanted, I ordered from a different source. They were also advertised as 1000 count Egyptian Cotton. They were such a waste of money: totally thin and lift right out of the pocket on one side. They felt like the old 300 count that I used to buy, so I paid way too much for the quality I was promised. Ever the optimist, I have ordered yet another set by yet another source. If these feel thin out of the box, I will return them. The challenge seems to be that these products, though advertised identically, are all very different and it is difficult to predict what you will receive. Cross your fingers for me!

I am very picky about sheets and find many really "good" sheets to be either too scratchy or too limp. When I took these out of their package, I was alarmed at how heavy they are. I immediately put them in the wash and used two sheets of fabric softener in the dryer. I made the bed, and they felt so good that I took a nap just to try them out. They feel luxurious, and their weight is just right--substantial yet not bothersome.The color is a bit odd--maybe I ordered the wrong the color. I thought I was getting a sage color, but they are more the color of gun metal--which doesn't match my decor. But they are so luxurious that I'm keeping them and ordering more.
The sheets are so comfortable. I look forward to getting into bed. The only negative is that they wrinkle some but I would buy them again because they are so nice. They have gotten softer with each washing so I imagine the wrinkles will get better in time.
