I didn't know about 1000 thread count sheets. Where have I been? But I knew about high thread count Egyptian cotton and when I saw these, I crossed my fingers and bought them. There is a remarkable difference to other high count cotton sheets I've used. After one wash they were comfortable but still a little stiff. The fabric is heavy and densely woven, as you'd image. The color, golden, is lovely. After two washings softer and I'm thrilled. I would buy again and probably will. Missed the 5th star because they don't fit just right. If you're Monkish about that sort of thing, this would drive you crazy. My mattress is not particularly thick and I can't get it all the way over the fourth corner so it puckers a little. This may not be the case of each set sold, but could be why they're on discount.
These sheets at first a little hard coming out of the box; however, after a few washings these sheets transform into something wonderful. Good value for the money
I recently purchased 700 tc sheet from a large department store and loved them. So, I thought these 1000 tc sheets would feel even more luxurious. NO! they feel like canvas and are quite heavy. these sheet fill the washer and they come out of the dryer quite wrinkled. i do like the fact that this set came with four piullowcases. I am disappointed.
I have yet to see how these perform in the wash but so far I'm very impressed. Very high quality heavy weight product. Definately feels like 5-star hotel material. Very pleased with purchase.
