Not a bad scale for the price. I would have liked it to be a little heavier, but as I said for the price it's a bargain.
The scale got good reviews on CR, and we're happy with the purchase. It doesn't have BMI, which we don't care about. It's solidly built and works well. It's not cutting-edge design but the extra $30-40 for a more stylish model (which CR didn't review any higher) wasn't worth it to us--we don't keep it on display.
Nice and accurate. Easy to clean and view the numbers.
Scale registers a different weight each time you step on it. I lost 20 pounds in a minute--exciting, but probably misleading.
I was looking for this scale based on Consumer Reports which had it top ranked. Found it here for a very good price. So far I have nothing negative to say about it. What I like: the glass top is really very stylish and attractive. The scale feels sturdy, and the non-skid feet keep it from sliding around (obviously). The feature I enjoy most is that it turns itself off, but also you can simply step on the scale and it quickly turns on and takes the measurement. I have another scale that has to be tapped to get it to "wake up" and then you have to wait for it to reset itself before you can step on it for a measurement. This Taylor is "step on, take measurement, put away." Can't get any easier than that. When I compare measurements to my other scale, it is completely consistent from day to day, weight to weight, so I have a high confidence in the values it registers. Nice large display is easy to read (I'm 5'11). Everything was as positive as Consumer Reports indicated.
