I read all the other positive reviews before I purchased this. I'm a baby boomer, so I wanted an "old fashioned" dial....not the new digital ones. BUT, as soon as it arrived, I weighed myself and thought, hmmm, that seemed kinda low. So I got right back on, and it was then two pounds heavier. It happened several more times. And if a kinda bounced, the weight would change again. I realized that I just couldn't "trust" the results. That ruined it for me. I arranged to return it the next day. I must say how easy the return process is!!! They even pay for the return postage. I've bought several things from Overstock, and I probably will buy a DIGITAL scale from them soon! Plus, their shipping fee is the beat anywhere!

I love this scale. I had the old one with the dial and wanted one that was more accurate for me as I am losing weight. I love it a lot and can't stop weighing myself. LOL!

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Weight Watchers scale. It is so light, easy to move around, and very easy to see the dial! The price is right, too! I would recommend this to anyone.

This scale is exactly what I was looking for! We have 2 other scales: smaller & one is 'high style' and both very inaccurate. I had trouble reading the dial on the othesr and also decided against a digital scale which requires batteries. The dial is easy to read, more detailed, and this looks more 'professional' which is probably motivating for weight control. I am looking forward to comparing it to the scale at the doctor's clinic. Our other 2 scales are always up to 10 lbs off (lighter).

Before the digital age this is the type of scale most folks would have, once the weight dial is adjusted this scale works just like it should........... just stand on it and look down No worries about battery's going bad because it's mechanical, nice large size and for the price a great deal here on Overstock ............ if your looking for a non-digital bathroom scale you can't go wrong here

I have only used the scale a couple of times and so far I think it will be very good - it looks like the weight is the same as at the docors office. It is a very nice size and the dial is very easy to read - much better than most of the digital scales that I have seen. Seems to be well built and I would recommend it to anybody.

This scale is both attractive to look at and works beautifully as well. When you step on the scale, your weight is shown in large, easy-to-see numbers against a lighted dial. It weighs to what I suppose would be one tenth of a pound, such as 130.4 (...a weight I will never see again in my lifetime!) The best thing is that you can step on it over and over and over during the same weighing session and the weight is ALWAYS the same. This, in itself, is worth the price of the scale.

i thought digital would be better than a regular dial scale. it takes too long to calculate while more times than not gives an error message in which you have to step off and start again. you get what you pay for. maybe i just got a bad one. im going to switch back to a dial...

The scale arrived fast and looked exactly like the picture.although it was larger than I expected it too be. The scale dials are easy to read and everyone like it because of the professional look and quality of it.

Great for those who have problems seeing, the dial is large and I am so glad I found this jem. Nothing more to say other than that

If computerized scales drive you crazy with their settings like they do me, then this scale is for you. Straightforward, a bit large, but still acceptable. Be sure to set the dial for the needle on zero before weighing yourself. Looks like a scale, acts like a scale. I love it.

This scale is a great buy. There are so many cheap, plastic, disposable bathroom scales out there. This one is different. It feels heavy and well made, like it will last a long time. It is accurate, too. And the dial is large and easy to read.

I ordered this scale, happy to get something that wasn't boring white in color and love the silver color. I was happy about the weight tracker too, so I could see my desired target. But when I opened my box from overstock.com, there was a sunbeam scale inside, but a cheaper model and ....ugh... it was white. They told me this was an item I could not return for some reason. They reimbursed me for the difference between the two. So I am not saying this situation is typical, but it did happen to me. That's the risk you take ordering online. Disappointed I did not get what I paid for in the first place.

This is a good, accurate scale. The after the first couple of uses the dial returns exactly to zero with no need to re-calibrate every time. The first couple times I used it it needed to be recalibrated but now its like the springs have settled in (like wearing a new pair of shoes - it takes a couple wearings to break them in). I have two small complaints. 1) the small lines in between each 5 lb. mark are very small & close together making them hard to read - e.g., its hard to tell if it says 147 or 148 sometimes. 2) the platform where you stand is not very big - the dial takes up a lot of room which is frustrating seeing as the small lines are so hard to read despite the large dial. I only have women's size 6-1/2 feet and my feet barely fit on the platform. Although my husband with bigger feet uses it without complaint.

The scale worked great when I first received it. After putting it away for a short time, I was disappointed that it wasn't accurate. One reading would be incredibly low, I would move it and the next reading would be even lower and several pounds off. Each time I step on it, it gives me a different reading. I had to go out and purchase a scale with a dial and can no longer trust this one.

I previously had an expensive digital scale that did not last for even 2 years. I am very pleased with the purchase. It has a large dial and is large in size. Since it is large, it is stable and had lots of room for your feet - no balancing acts on the the scale! One drawback for some may be its size and it is heavy. But that being said, it is not going anywhere once you put it in place.

Heavy duty bathroom scale that should last a long time, and, no batteries required!! Big enough to accommodate adult feet, and a large enough dial to easily read. Sometimes needs to be re-zeroed, but that is easy enough, too. Great product for the price. Thank you.

To begin with the scale was left by the UPS person and the carton was flimsy, but the worst was the whole in the near center of one side of the box. When I removed the scale I found the plastic over the dial had been shattered and was in pieces, some no doubt within the mechanism and that may have contributed to some of the inaccuracy. That said, as stated, it was of flimsy construction and is likely to have been inaccurate. I have returned the item for refund. jammer2
