Function+Beauty
This is a wonderful lamp, It is a very attractuve addition to my home and offers clear, bright light without glare. I didn't put the bulb (enclosed) in properly and the lamp didn't work at first. Customer Support at Verilux was amazing. They answered the phone right away, were very well informed about the product and offered to replace a part. Of course, it was all my fault! Once I secured the bulb, the lamp worked perfectly and has ever since.

Fantastic. Heavy base. Nothing floppy. Beautifully packaged. Easily pulls out of box pre-assembled. Bulb included. Ready to go. Phenomenal light! Three levels of intensity. Any height and angle. What more could you ask? Greatest invention since sliced bread, seriously. Need another one or two. I got the nickel color.

Designer Floor Lamp
I used to work at a designers showroom that sold Casela Lamps, that sell at 5x the price of this Vellux floor lamp. The quality in finish, construction and style is very similar. This lamp would be at home on the pages of Architectural Digest. Well worth the price and of course, came quickly and well packaged.

Great light, adjustment could be better
It looks nice and the reading light is good (although now that the NH Legislature has de-funded the mercury light recycling program, I don't know what I am going to do with the spent bulbs). The only criticism I have is that the adjustment requires loosening screws to move it into positions. While you are comfortably seated for a good reading session, this is not convenient.

Bright Light
Adjusts to various angles and heights with ease. When tipped too far towards the the opposite/front side of room on high setting, the brightness can irritate others, so it's best to adjust it with someone else in the room too. The height adjustment seems kind of funky, like it's totally dependent on the cord. So if you want it lower you have to also pull the cord out of the base. But, maybe that's just me. It would fit into about any decor and looks very expensive because of the burnished finish. Got the brass color and it coordinates with everything else that has a bronze or brass in the room. Very neutral and not really shiny, so nice.

Verilux Floor Lamp is great for reading and crafts
The Verilux Heritage lamp was easy to assemble. It has a flexible design so you can direct the light where you need it for reading and crafts. I will probably purchase another one for a different room in the house.

Very good reading lamp
This is a very good reading lamp and I particularly like the three levels of light. This product would get five stars, but the finish is somewhat industrial and it would be nice if the filter (that goes over the light) were recessed instead of protruding slightly. Overall, it is a very good light that lacks a little refinement in the finish.

Problems
At first I was impressed with the weight and stability of this lamp and the ease of assembly but within two months the ballast "died" and after purchasing another from Verilux I found that one to be defective as well. Still trying to work this out with the manufacturer.
