I like this product. I have been using the Happy Light for over a month now & my energy has increased; I am not sleepy in the early afternoon, as I used to be. I think I would have preferred the smaller model same brand, so it would be easier to travel with.

The light is a great way to start my day; wakes me up better than coffee used to. More importantly, I don't have the afternoon drowsiness and I am sleeping more soundly at night. Only wake up once, but able to return to deep sleep again quickly. I have recommended it to others already.

I bought this for my husband who gets the winter blues every year and has trouble waking up and getting moving in the morning but can't fall asleep at night. The HappyLight has 10,000 lux of light output which studies agree is an effective amount. 10,000 lux is very bright so it is difficult for my husband to sit so close in front of it as prescribed in the instructions. A compromise has been to turn the light around to face the white walls and use the indirect light. Even so, it does seem to help, especially on those really overcast days in January when it is the darkest. If you can try out a 10,000 lux light in person before you buy it here, I'd recommend seeing if you can tolerate that much light.
