Way better than a Chi
from Bellevue, NE,  Aug 29, 2009

This flat iron is absolutely wonderful!! I was looking into buying a new flat iron and read a lot of reviews and decided to go with an original Chi. I'm not sure if the one I purchased was defective or just not as great as everyone says they are. I returned the Chi and after reading the reviews on Overstock and a few other websites, I decided to try the Croc. What a great decision!! I love it. As one of the other reviewers said, it's miles ahead of the Chi. Overstocks price was great and their Customer Service was wonderful! I would definitely recommend buying flat iron!!

WOW!
from Philadelphia, PA,  Jan 22, 2011

This is hands down the best hair straightener I have ever used. I have a lot of very curly hair, while it is not super think it is very full. I have used other straighteners and have had my hair dresser straighten my hair for me with her CHI iron. I think the CROC is way better then the CHI. It took half the time to straighten my hair. I used a straightening cream fist and did partially blow dry it, some sections were damp at best (not wet). The iron heats up to 450 in about a minute and in about 20 minutes I perfectly straight hair! Amazing! I'm sure the more I use it the less time it will take. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for a really good professional hair straightener. I only wish I could submit pictures so you could see what an amazing job it did!

Fantastic
from Alexandria, VA,  Jul 29, 2009

I bought this product with high hopes but with some skeptism. I have very, very curly, thick hair. I have bought several other products, not only tools but creams and lotions to straighten and control the frizz in my hair. I wish I had found this product first, I could have afforded a nice vacation with all the money I could have saved on other products. It not only straightens your hair but makes it look and feel shiny, healthy and in control. It stays straight for about 3 days with only light touch ups so you don't have to worry about drying out your hair. Have not tried straightening from wet but prefer to have my hair dry naturally or with a dryer. If you want to go from curly, frizzy and out of control to straight and looking good, this is the product for you! WELL worth the money.

Great product
from Houston, TX,  May 10, 2008

This flat iron is really awesome. i have gone through my fair share of Chi irons, and have never found one that works that well with my hair until i purchased this iron. The only real down side that i can see is that the iron plates go all the way to the sides so you can easily get burned by the sides of the iron if you are not careful, whereas other brand irons do not have plates that go completely to the side.

works as well as my hairdressers!
from NE Pennsylvania,  Aug 2, 2010

This product was recommended to me by my hairdresser after complaining that I can never get the same sleek look she does when straightening my hair. I have lots of somewhat wavy hair and the Croc is doing a terrific job! First, it heats up in about 20 seconds to the temp I program. I am currently using 350 degrees and my hair straightens on the first pass. The temp can go up to 450 degrees, but I have not needed to go that high. Secondly, I can let my hair dry naturally, then straighten it or dry with a hair dryer to almost dry and use the Croc on SLIGHTLY damp hair. It does work if your hair is not too wet. And if you have wavy hair like mine, slightly damp hair really comes out straight and shiny. The only negative is that there does not seem to be a place on the iron to rest it on the counter. I was a little nervous about putting it on my counter when hot, but it seems fine. I would definitly recommend this product.

Should of order the first time!!!!
from Lancaster, PA,  May 13, 2012

Omg! This flat iron is absolutely wonderful. I like that you can set the degrees on the iron and watch as the temperature heats up. You have arrows going up and down to adjust the temperature My hair is think and curly and when I used it my hair, my hair came out so soft and shiny. I actually received compliments asking who does my hair. Like I said before I should have bought this the first time around.

I love that this straightener automatically turns off if you leave it on for too long! My prevous croc did not have this feature. So far, so good!

Very Satisfied
from St. Louis, MO,  Nov 20, 2010

This is the first flat iron I've owned. After researching and reading reviews I decided to purchase the TurboIon Croc Titanium Wet to Dry 1.5 Flat Iron. I have shoulder length thick hair and especially like the width of the iron. It heats up in seconds and has an automatic shut off. I've used it on damp and dry hair and it works great on both. The design of the iron makes it easy to handle. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

TurbooIon Croc Titanium Wet to Dry
from Los angeles, CA,  Aug 3, 2010

The croc flat iron is great! I would recommend it to anyone. However I do have a thick head of hair, very course, thick, and curly. There are times when I do need to run the iron through one section of my hair several times. The wet to dry function can be better. It doesn’t make your wet hair instantly dry and smooth, it makes it frizzy. I prefer to dry my hair first then iron over it. Overall it’s a great iron and I would recommend it!

Love it!
from Humid, Indiana,  Jun 29, 2010

Great for my growing medium length hair. My last flat iron was too thin, and this is just the right width. Careful not to go too hot, it will burn your hair. 350 degrees is a good temp for my somewhat thick over-chemically treated hair. It is much better used with some sort of a serum also. Enjoy... I'm loving it!

Pretty good but not great
 from CT,  Jun 25, 2010

I have medium long, very thick hair that is prone to frizz. Left to dry on it's own it will be somewhat curly but very frizzy. Drying it straight/smooth takes a good 30 minutes. Hair looks great if i take the time to blow dry it straight with the round brush and then run the flat iron over it - it stays flat and smooth til the next day. if I skimp on the round brush/blow drying straight, it still works to help eliminate frizz but it's not as flat. It definitely helps and I'm glad I purchased it.. but it's not a complete substitute for a big round brush and a good hair dryer. I did use it the other day after letting my hair mostly air dry, then finished w/the hair dryer and used the flat iron.. it was much smoother and less frizzy than it would've been w/out the flat iron.

excellent flat iron!
 from PA,  May 12, 2010

I was using my daughters $180 flat iron and finally purchases this one for myself. It is every bit as good as my daughter's and at less than half the price. I love that it heats up instantly, the extra long cord is a great plus and the plates are incredibly smooth. I also really like the smaller width, which makes it much easier to handle.

Great Flat Iron
 from Northeast,  May 1, 2010

I upgraded to this flat iron from the Remington Wet/Dry Flat Iron and am I glad I did. The TurboIon Flat Iron heats up super fast and does a great job straightening my hair. I have thin, color-treated, frizzy/curly hair and this iron straightens my hair perfectly. I use the iron after my hair has been towel-dried and it does a better job drying/straightening my damp hair than my old iron which I would have to go over each section a few times to get it straight enough to my liking. I have also seen a difference in humid conditions, my hair doesn't frizz like it did before with my old flat iron. My hair doesn't need as much touching up the next morning either which is a time saver if I'm not washing my hair. Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade from a cheaper flat iron.

The BEST Flat Iron
from Newnan, GA,  Apr 26, 2010

I had this flat iron used on my hair when I was at a salon. It made my hair so straight and shiny that I had to run home and look for it online. I ordered it from Overstock (at a MUCH cheaper price than you can find in any store or salon), and it exceeded my expectations. My hair is naturally wavy and really stubborn. This flat iron cut the time it takes me to straighten my hair in HALF! I have already forwarded the link to friends and family that use flat irons and strongly suggested they make the upgrade to this flat iron!

TurboIon Croc Flat Iron
from Winter Park, FL,  Apr 6, 2010

We bought this for our daughter and she LOVES it....She has gone through 2 CHI's and when the last one stopped working, I tried to find another one. When searching on Overstock I found the Titanium Croc and based on the reviews bought it. This Croc flat iron is amazing. Her hair looks and feels like silk. It heats up very quickly and just does an awesome job on your hair. The difference between the two flat irons is very noticeable. The CROC is a must have.

This is a great straight iron my hair looks great when i use it. I love that I can program in what temp. i want according to my needs. It also has the metal further out than other irons so you can curl your ends in or out if you want without much hassle like some others!

Awesome
from Naples, FL,  Jan 15, 2010

I love this flat iron! It takes about 15 seconds to heat up to 450. It takes me about 25 minutes to straigth my hair up, but I do not mind since it leaves my hair soft and shinny. It is worth every penny.

The best flat iron, hands down
from Eugene, Oregon,  Jan 11, 2010

My daughter and I have long-ish hair and between the two of us, have owned several flat irons. By far, this is the BEST flat iron I've ever owned. It works on wet and dry hair, and flattens on the first pass (and I have course thick salt & pepper hair). Can't say enough about it! It gets hot, be sure you shut it off after each use. If you're a professional, don't use metal containers to hold this flat iron, it will overheat.
