This flat iron is the best thing going. Not only can you use it on damp/wet hair, it is great on dry hair too. Using other flat irons, your hit or miss if you want to add some curls. This one has no issues with giving you ringlet, if that's your thing. I would recommend to anyone who is in the market. It knows the CHI out of the water.
I purchased this flat iron on Overstock almost 2 years ago when my CHI died. I had had numerous problems with my CHI and after it finally quit working I was referred by a family member to CROC. I actually got to test one out before I purchased it and I liked it so much I bought my own. I have thick african american 4a hair and it does a great job. It heats up and cools down very quickly. It does not give my hair static like the CHI had and my hair still feels silky two days later. My hair does not feel fried or damaged. I usually use a heat setting between 375-400 degrees. I never use it on wet hair, although there have been times when it was still slightly damp. I did not have any problems or damage from using it then. I just don't believe you should flat iron wet hair. I don't care what they say. I also don't flat iron my hair all the time. I use it in moderation. I purchased an extended warranty but I haven't needed. This was a very good product for what I paid at the time, less than $$$ total. Definitely worth it.

I have had to purchase three of these irons in one year because they easily break. There is a manufacturing defect because Turbo Ion decided to take their manufacturing and outsource it to another country. Yes, the iron is amazing when it works. But it is not worth the money to have to constantly replace it.
This product comepletely ruined my hair on the wet to dry setting. I had to cut off half of my hair after just one use because of it. I luckily didnt have the iron up to the 450 degrees only 250.. Might i add the lowest setting. I guess for someone with thick hair this would be a good iron but if you have fine hair STAY AWAY!
- How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Image on overstock did look exactly like the actual iron
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? The description was true to actual product

I like this Croc, and the swivel cord should make it last, while my other one is being returned to Croc to fix if they can. What I didn't note is that by getting the wet/dry one, I was not getting the smooth iron I had been used to It has holes, and leaves a more "rough" texture in my hair. I haven't tried it with wet hair yet, and that may be a good feature if thats what you're looking for, but stay away if not. I bought it based on the least expensive model.
It takes quite a while to dry your hair if it is damp and you need to go over sections of your hair more than twice. I like how it straightens after it is already dry.
I purchased the TurboIon Croc Ceramic Wet to Dry 1.5-inch Flat Iron for my granddaughter for Christmas. She loves it!
I have used several brands of flat irons, to help tame my very thick and very curly hair! This flat iron works great; leaving my hair shiny and smooth. I was very surprised that it cut my straightening time in half! The shape of the iron feels great in your hands, too. Great product!!
I am an African American female with natural hair and this flat iron is great. It keeps my hair from reverting even in humid weather. I only have to run the flat iron down my hair 2x's.
My stylist recommended this flat iron -- it's the one he uses at his job. I have found this flat iron easy to use. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The setting buttons were easy to find and to use. I really like that I can see what the temperature is and adjust it if needed. I especially like the way the flat iron is shaped -- it has a nice, easy grip making it very easy to use. I'm a novice at straightening my hair but I'm glad that I have such an easy-to-use and effective tool to do it. I've been completely satisfied with this purchase.
This flat iron is amazing!!! I absolutely love it!! My hair is so soft and shiny. I have a lot of hair and it is fairly long. It used to take me about 45min to an hour to straighten my hair with my paul brown flat iron and it takes about 25-30 min to straighten my hair with this iron. And I love that you can change the temp of the iron. And you dont have to put any pressure on the plates. One of my best purchases on overstock!!
great iron - i have really frizzy, curly hair and this makes my hair straight and smooth. I also was blown away by how fast it heats up and how light the iron is - it makes it really easy to use. Only one thing - it doesn't work so well on wet hair so dry partially and then use the iron - really great!
This is the second iron I have bought, bought one for myself then another for my sister. Have tried several other flat irons and this is the only one that straightens and smooths my thick, wavy hair. Even to the next day! Was doubtful at first , but it works! I had a chi and this is much better! Love that it has a thermostat!
This flat iron is just great. My stylist recommended it to me, and I was skeptical. However, it is awesome. The Wet to Dry feature is great to have, though I do blow dry a little bit before I straighten (I dry my roots and leave the rest damp). I find that when I straighten with it damp it also is shinnier and softer when I am done.I had been a skeptic about spending $$ on a flat iron, but even my friend who is a loyal CHI user for years likes mine better than hers. The grip on it is also great as your hand doesn't get tired or numb.Highly recommendHair type: naturally wavy, color treated.
i think it is okay, but there is better, i wouldn't buy it again. for the price i like my conair better and it was less $.
Love this iron - easy to use, heats up quickly and works well on wet hair as well. I have purchased many irons in the past and this is my favorite. Very good value for the money!
With my last flat iron, my hair would still frizz if the weather was hot and humid out. With this one, it seems less likely to frizz. Very fast heat up time. Overall, I really like this flat iron.
First time user with coarse, wavy, frizzy Asian Indian hair - used to spend $40 to have blowdry & flatiron done by hair dresser. NEVER AGAIN!!! Was afraid my dry hair would get horribly damaged but so far, my hair feels like silk, is straight, shiny & manageable. This is an excellent product - easy to use even for an all thumbs hairdresser like me!
This iron is a little on the pricey side, but I will consider it a great value if it lasts for a long while. So far I've only had it about a month. It gets very hot quickly which is a plus. It works great for wet (or damp) styling. My hair is very thick and it is a few inches below my shoulders. I can straight style my hair from damp in about 25 - 30 mins. I find it easiest to wash it every other day, so on the "off" days, I only spend 5 - 10 mins touching up my dry straight hair. This iron seems to keep my hair in good condition. I have not noticed any damage so far. As for the materials, I rated 5 stars, though I wish the iron were a little less hot on the exterior side of the plates. The handle does remain cool.
the perfect tool. my teenage daughters who both have long wavy-curly hair adore this. we had another flat iron the FHI 1" that they liked, but once that broke we tried this. They are amazed at the speed of heat up and really love this flat iron. highly recommended .
