I am a hairdresser, I have gone through my fair share of flat irons. The Croc flat iron by far straightens hair better and faster than any i have used in the past. I live in Louisiana, where it is very humid and I find that hair stays straighter after using this product. I highly recommend this flat iron and Overstock. I also received my order in 2 days!

I found the reviews super helpful in choosing a new flat-iron. I chose the Croc after my hairdresser recommended it, but told me that I couldn't get it for less than $300. Imagine my surprise to find it here for the "nice price!" It arrived quickly and works very, very good. I have long, waivy--sometimes frizz,hair, and it straightens it out perfectly--no loose ends flying around, etc. I am picky about my flat-iron, and I wasn't happy with my Chi--even though I paid twice the price for it. I highly recommend this product!
I love this straightner!! I've had so many others, including the GVP (Chi imitation), the actual Chi, the Chi turbo, and this one has got to be the best! I gave it 5 stars although it actually broke down on me today. I bought it 11/17 of last year so it only lasted me a year...I am turning it in under the warranty. BUT not only did I use it everyday, my sister and my mom did. I even used it twice a day sometimes so it outlasted it's use. :) It straightens fast and heats up super fast too! It leaves your hair shiny...it's amazing! Get it! You won't regret it!
I have only tried one other straightener besides the Croc, but I'm very pleased so far. I received this item about 3 weeks ago and have used it almost every day. It heats up quickly and has a very long cord. My hair is of average thickness and is pretty long....I set the temperature to 360 F and it does a great job. I read some other reviews that suggest this iron may cause some damage to the hair...I think you just have to be careful which temp setting you choose. This iron gets really hot, so try it at a lower temp first to see how your hair reacts.
I have gone through 2 other "professional" flat irons and got fed up with replacing it. I decided to give Overstock and Croc a try for the first time and am happy with both! This iron is amazing and I love the ability to change the temp. I use a higher temp for the first time I straighten my hair and a lower temp on the 2nd day. I have very wavy and thick hair so it's hard to straighten it and I use less passes with this iron and my hair looks and feels healthier. The quality is great and I would recommend this to anyone.
