Overrated I thought this was to be more harmonic then it is. The beads fall every once in awhile after you turn it over and they detach from the adhesive on the inside lid. I was looking to have something like a rain stick that would provide a steady stream sound when turned over and turned back upright. This product is overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend it.

Unique Gift I bought two similar rain chimes and this one wins hands down. Not to much to assemble, easy instructions, nicely made. It has delicate sounding chimes. The more you use it the better it works. Not too big, could be put on a desk top or next to a bed. Gave it as a gift, wish I had bought one for myself.

very relaxing. I was given one of these in the cherry finish, about 15 years ago, and several people have remarked how much they like it. I bought these for two people I needed a gift for and had no idea what to get them. They love them. They are so relaxing. One of them arrived with the plastic bag with the little balls in them open and most of the balls missing. I called customer service and within a few days, they sent me a new bag. I have a neice who is going to have a serious foot surgery soon and I'm going to get her one. She will find it very soothing while she recuperates.

Pleasant Chimes After I saw these chimes in a catalog several years ago, I was patiently waiting for a time when I could afford them. With the discount price at Overstock I was finally able to purchase them. It was easy to unpack the product and put it together (very little assembly). One piece of sound material inside had come loose, but was easy to re-stick, and after adjusting the 3 chimes to be evenly spaced, I found they worked very nicely. The metal balls drop randomly and are sometimes faster and sometimes slower - as mentioned in the instructions, weather can be a factor. This just adds to the enjoyment, since no two "listenings" are the same.

What is the power source for this unit Please

Thank you for contacting us iboinoc. There is no power source for this item. It works by gravity. It has small metal balls that initially stick to the top of the chime. With gravity the balls slowly start to drop and hit the chimes as they fall. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
