I usually purchase things from a salon. So buying online I wasn't sure. My other flat iron cost me about $150 and it was good, but one of my plates went out, so my friend told me about Overstock and that they might have flat irons on here. Sure enough, I found this one and it is AWESOME! I spent only a fraction of what I paid for my other way more expensive flat iron and got better results and less time to do my hair. I love the adjustable temperature, the cord is long and swivels in any direction. I would recommend this product over and over because I have really thick hawaiian hair, so it's hard to find products that really work without damaging my hair. It works for me and I hope it'll work the same magic for you....oh yeah, and the results are so soft and smooth silky straight hair.

This iron is better than the last one I had, but it does take quite a while to heat up. And you do have to go over the hair a few times more than I would like to!

I love it! It heats up really fast and straightens my hair in one shot unlike my other flat iron which took many times going over the same area. I would definitely recommend this product.

I got this flat iron becuase I didnt want to pay $100 or another CHI flat iron. I have extremely curly hair and can only get it straight at home with a CHI...so I thought that I would order this kind because it has temperature control. It works, but it takes just a little more effort to get my hair straight that it did with the CHI flat iron. In order for it to get even close to the temp that the CHI gets to, you have to turn the heat up to 400 degrees. It works, but now i am thinking that I should have just gone ahead and paid the $100 for another CHI.

I've used this product for a while now and think it works very well. I followed another posters suggestion of turning the heat up and found it works great that way.
