It activates fine. However, when not used for a while, the nozzle initially spritzes and sputters and dispenses very little soap. A second try results in soap being dispensed without sputtering and in the set quantity. On the other hand, the nozzle NEVER drips (the soap is drawn back inside), which probably accounts for the first "partial shot". Overall a pleasingly looking soap dispenser, which does, what it is supposed to do AND DOES IT WELL.

I showered with it but wasn't really outside to see if it repelled any mosquito's. It has nice smell, not anything like bug spray. I hope it works. I will use it next time I'm out in mosquito land. Which happens to be anywhere outside as we've had a lot of rain lately.

The soap has very nice fragrance. I have been using it throughout the summer. I can not comment on its anti-mosquito effect because I have not been outdoor too much. For personal use (one person), it can last two to three months (the whole summer season). Therefore, I think it is not a bad choice, plus it may deter mosquitos. I did buy two more bars for next year though I think the product is pricy. The price issue is why I gave 4 star rating.

I was hopeful in the product. I think it works but I was disappointed in overstock in sending two expired products. I didn't want to hassle with sending the product back so I kept it. On a positive note, the smell is very pleasant.

I was laughed at! Camping near the BWCA in Minnesota I told people about my soap and I got many an eye roll. Until we were all being swarmed by mosquitos and gnats and.... I had ONE bite! One Bite! I LOVE THIS SOAP!

I'm a mosquito magnet. I have been suffering with bites for 2 months. I bought this soap hoping it would make a difference. I use it religiously everyday, even though I have some very nice high end shower gels...but being bite-free is more important! I have noticed a severe drop in the bites I have been getting! Actually, right now I have zero bites. I was told to eat garlic and soak my arm (a target for some reason) in vinegar and between the soap, vinegar and garlic, I am off their radar.

We weren't sure if this soap would really work. So we ordered only 1bar last year. This year we ordered 5 bars. It has a nice smell and lathers just like regular soap. Doesn't leave a greasy film and isn't drying either.

Purchased two of the products and LOVE this product. Have one at the kitchen sink and the other in the bathroom.... works like a charm, has an adjustable sensor switch to set the amount of liquid soap you desire.... Really handy in the kitchen, keeps the oooE gooE mess off the soap bottles and off the counter. I would recommend this product to anyone. the price is comprable, the style a little bulky but otherwise pleasant to look at... would love to see it in Stainless Steel at a decent price.

The soap dispenser works great! We purchased it because many people frequent our bathroom and we wanted to keep down the germs. Dr. Oz recommended it as a way to do this. We are very pleased with it.

Dove always makes a good soap. This soap smells very good, but it does not linger. Skin feels soft. It would have gotten 5 stars, but it was a bit expensive. Good thing I bought enough to last me a very very long time.

Lasts a long time, doesn't melt away like some soaps and leaves you feeling clean and fresh.

I've been using this soap (and bath powder) for around two years now and I absolutely love it. Fragrance is subtle and long-lasting. Soap is gentle to the skin; I even use it on my face and I have fairly sensitive skin. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a scented soap. You can't go wrong!

I purchased this item about 6 mos ago and have used it ever since. It looks great and is well constructed. The only negative comment I would make is the soap delivery method - its take a while for the soap to be dispensed after it has been sitting idle for more than a few minutes. It takes 3 maybe 4 attempts to actually get the soap to come out of the dispenser. I've tried to keep the container filled and that doesn't seem to change the fact that I still need to keep my hand under the sensor for 10-15 seconds before the soap comes out. On a positive note, this dispenser does not leak and looks great in the kitchen. Overall a good value - just a bit frustrating ....

Dispenses too much soap, even after trying to adjust it according to instructions, made no difference! So much soap comes out, you actually have a small pool in your hand!
