The finish started rubbing off after the 1st week~this one was a dud.

This scale is really, really pretty (in fact there is an embellishment around the side of the wood that is not shown in photos) but it does not take an accurate weight. My son got on and off of it three times and got three numbers. I put it where it was going to go to let it get settled, and it gave me the same thing, three numbers, different by five lbs. I'm bummed that I have to send this great looking scale back but I'm looking for something accurate.

This scale doesn't do anything fancy. It does give me a consistent and accurate reading. I bought it because my decor is rich deep browns and this scale is a nice accent instead of being an eyesore. It's lightweight and the setup was a cinch.
