Not as expected
This charger claims to be "universal" and that is not true. - It only charges NiMH batteries. - It does not recharge my Rayovac Renewal (alkaline) batteries. - It does not recharge my NiCd batteries. - It does not turn off the indicator lights when the batteries are fully charged, and relies on the user to remove the batteries based on how many hours the battery has been in the charger, which varies by battery size: AA, AAA, etc. + It does have the ability to charge 9-volt NiMH batteries; I have none of these batteries, so haven't tried it. +The charger does work okay on AA and AAA batteries, but I don't like its limitations. I thought I was buying a replacement for my very old Rayovac PS3 charger, which did not have these limitations.

Large Charger is Great
If you're looking for a charger that can handle a lot of batteries at one time this is it! We're using more & more rechargeables in my house in a lot of different sizes and we needed something that could handle more than 4 at a time. It's a little strange at first to operate, since the batteries are stacked on top of each other in pairs, but once you understand that it works great.

Good price!
Not only did I get the Rayovac universal battery pack at a good price, now I can start saving on future purchase of batteries. I use a lot of solar lights in my back yard and this will save me so much money!

rayovac battery charger
I haven't had the chance to use this charger because I can't find size C and D rechargeable batteries at a reasonable price.

Good but not as advertised
This product works very well. However, it is advertised on the site as charging alkaline batteries too, which is why I bought it, but the directions are very clear that it is not to be used with alkaline batteries.
