Sometimes I gnash my teeth in my sleep (so I am told), so I bought this product. It's not comfortable, so I do not use it often. I do not recommend it.

    Right Price Poor Fit

The Smartguard Night Guard was fine while I was is the first phase of my sleep cycle. Before I entered the next cycle I was jolted back to reality with a very active gag reflex. But that's the price I paid for not wanting to make the effort to get one that is custom fitted. The second night I slept on three pillows. This worked well but I realized that I am a two pillow person. The third night I went back to two pillows and was able to get to the 4th cycle of sleep, you know right before you start dreaming, but I was awakened by side drool. I think the Smartguard Night Guard is good for a mouth breather who sleeps in a recliner.

I found the shape of this mouth guard not helpful. I tried to shape the guard as per instructions. It didn't work. In looking at how the guard is even if I could get it to fit in my mouth, the handle in the front would cause a problem with breathing ( that I could determine).

My friend was overjoyed with this gift! The nursing home staff is usually too busy for back scratching, so this solved the problem.
