I always buy king size heating pads, but, lately, they are not as flexible to use for the neck area and this is especially the case because it is bulky in certain spots. Also, the piece on the pad used to attach the orange wrap can scratch you if it comes with skin contact - I got scratches on neck. Also, the power button sometimes has to be hit a number of times before it lights up and can be easily hit while you move, causing the pad to turn off. Another drawback is that to turn it on, you have to put the temp. back to zero, which doesn't make sense, because it would be nice to select a heat temp you like and should be able to turn it on to same setting you find comfortable, unlike most others that reset to zero, this one is very manual. The pad does get hot, so you have to go slow on the clicks on temp button until you get just the right heat. It does, however, also make a clicking sound which is not an ideal mechanism when you share a bed and wake the other person from the clicking sounds. The size is IDEAL, but the weight is too heavy to take when traveling, which is when we have the most sore spots needing relaxation. I would not suggest this except if you intend to use it for your back or stomach but definitely not good on neck due to its lack of flexibility and the bulk nodules.

I liked the bigger heating pad, the only downfall is that it only runs for 60 min. You have to have the temp setting at zero before you can turn the pad on.
