Function over Form
It serves it's purpose, but I was hoping to also be able to use it in the living room. Can't slide it under the couch. It works well over the bed, and the quality is great. Unfortunately looks EXACTLY like the one you will find in the hospital - and that is the last thing I want to think of while I am at home.

it looks like what it is
It looks just like what it is -- a table to feed a sick person, so if you're buying it to put a lap top on it, it's certainly fine for that, but the aesthetics aren't great. The pros: it was easy to assemble, it's sturdy, and it tilts. It can be lowered and raised and then locked into place. It rolls. The cons are that it has stiff, clunky action & it isn't pretty. It feels to me like the model hasn't been changed since it designed, probably some time in the 1960's. But it's fine for what it is. I use it every day.

Loosey goosey table
The tilt connection pin had too much play in it. The hole was too big for the pin. This left the table top the ability to wobble about 11/2 inch up and down- not a solid stable fit. Analogy would be like sitting at a table with one leg a little shorter over every time time you put weight on it, the tabletop moved up and down. Returned product and purchased the non tilt table which was great.

Great table for bed
The table is about the size of a hospital bed table. It is quite sturdy & served our purpose very well. We still use the table in our home office whenever someone needs "additional desk space". I only wish the table could be lowered more. Now that we don't have to use it for the bed, I'd have liked it to have the ability to be lowered to an actual desk height. But, that is the only drawback....if it really is one!

Just what I needed !!!!
Had full hip replacement, was laid up in bed for 4 weeks, this table was invaluable ! Perfect for eating, using my laptop, and cross-stitching! I'll be hanging onto this table forever.

Tilt table
At first I hesitated on trying to assemble the table by myself. The instructions didn't match the table I received as the table top was already assembled at the factory eliminating what looked like complicated assembly that I thought would require a second person, however upon closer look, I discovered that the hard part was already done, so this 68 year old grandmother decided to try to assemble it alone . It took me less than a half hour and my bed table was assembled and placed at my bed. The only change that I would have liked to see would be a few more options for tilt positions. I think that I would like a slightly smaller tilt, but that is not really a problem. I really enjoy having the table to be able to use my laptop from bed. Also I know that if I do get sick or just want to pamper myself with breakfast or any other meal in bed, this table will be great. I am a Club O member so my shipping was free, and actually I was able to get the tabe for free by using my club O credits. It arrived within a week actually within a few days, I was delightfully surprised. I love Overstock.com. Everything that I have ordered so far has been top quality.
