This bath tub bar is great! It's sturdy, it's attractive (blends nicely with the white enamel tub), and it makes getting in and out of the tub so much easier than traditional bars. This model is narrow, so it doesn't raise the clearance over half of the length of the tub like traditionally lower, wider bars. And since it is more than twice as tall as most side-of-the-tub models, it provides a convenient steadying opportunity while standing.

I picked this up for my mother. It is every bit as advertised. It clamped on easily with rubber pads to protect from marring. It is very sturdy and feels reliable. I checked it a week later and found that it did not need any adjustment and was held firmly in place. Of course the price was a very good value as well. As usual, Overstock's fair shipping of 2.95 clinched the deal.

Mom needed something to steady herself when getting in and out of tub, and this works perfectly. She also kneels to get out of tub, and this provided something for her to grab onto to help lift herself up. She is very pleased with this product. My husband said it was very simple to install. We also appreciate its portability as we will someday need to move it to our house for mom. We are very pleased with this purchase.

I got this at the same time I purchased the tub grips, the grips are in a drawer - didn't work out - but this is on the tub. I like having it connect to the tub for the sense of security it provides, it is more stable than the hand grips and a lot stronger. Can't use it to get out of the tub, but comes in mighty handy in the shower.

I purchased this item for my elderly mother who lives alone. She feels more secure with this bathtub aid which allows her to stabilize herself while bathing/showering. Her home health case manager asked her where she purchased the item because she wanted to give her other patients the information to place an order. The case manager said it was one of the best ( most sturdy) bathtub aids she has seen.

I bought this one for my self and can not wait to get it. I am getting older and hard to get in and out the tub. I have been looking for one a long time before decided on this one. It's a heavy duty metal, well made, looks good but unfortunetely it didn't fit my tub. I tried other tub in the house, it didn't fit either. Hate to return but I won't be able to use it. The description should emphasize the fact that the bar only fit up to ???? inchs. (the wide of the tub) so that I don't have to waste so much of my times.

I bought this for my 96 year old mother, who was finding it harder to get out of the tub. It's easy to install on the side of the tub, and is small enough so it's not in the way of others using the tub. It now gives her the independence to take her own baths.

I bought this bar and it was easy to attach. Make sure your bathtub is big enough. My tub curves at the ends so I could only put the bar in the middle on the side. I do not have a lot of room on either side of the bar . I need a bigger tub for this bar. It appears to stay in place and not slip but I still feel unsure of it being able to support me.

My parents, 85 and 90 years old, have always taken baths. I bought this as a Mother's day gift. Now everytime that I talk to either of them they tell me how they can now get into and out of the tub. I purchased this item for my 80 year old mother-in law. She saw a tub handle "someplace" and asked for one for Christmas.
