I am disappointed in the knee support braces like these on the market today. I received one years back from my doctor and I haven't been able to find anything close to replace it. This is OK. It stays up, it supports my knee. it does not breath at all!! both my leg and the brace are soaked when I take it off (after a 2 mile run in 30 degrees, where most of the rest of my body does not sweat). I can't even imagine it in the summer. but, it is better than most on the market.Read More
First of all it actually fits on my huge knee ! I got the largest one. 2nd, it stays on and doesn't slide around. 3rd, it didn't make my leg all sweaty. 4th my knee felt more stable. Con: Harder to get off than get on.Read More
These were quality items but the sizing was off. Smaller than expected had to returnRead More

I ordered a Medium and it's fits pretty well, I'm a 5'5" female. It's sturdy, but still lets you move in workouts. Great brace for the price!Read More
I have a partially torn ACL and have been using ACE neoprene knee braces with spring inserts for lateral supports. While these braces served me well, they were showing their ages, and ACE stopped making the same model. As far as I am concerned, newer / one-size-fits-all models from ACE and other vendors are not an improvement since they really do not fit right and do not offer the same level of compression as fitted / sized ones. There are other fitted knee braces with lateral supports but those are not made with neoprene material and do not offer the same level of compression and stability. After getting very disappointed with one of these thinner / non-neoprene knee brace, I continued my quest to find a perfect replacement of my trusty old ACE knee brace. When I found this item on Overstock.com, I was little bit hesitant because of a very large inconsistency between its pictures and descriptions. While the picture accurately showed springs on the side, description did not mention any lateral support. Since I always had good experiences with Overstock.com and its return policy, I decided to take a chance. The product was delivered within 4 days of the order, and I could not be happier with this knee brace. It is little thicker than I would like and cannot be worn inside-out (I liked to flip my old ACE brace inside out when I start to sweat so that I don't have to feel like I have a small jungle down on my knee). However, the fit was very good and firm, and the lateral support was also excellent. I have not taken it to hiking or other more demanding activities, but, with limited time I spent wearing it around short walks, I am very happy with my purchase. Ever since I purchased this knee brace, I also found out that it is no longer listed on the *** web site, so, I think that means this one is also being discontinued. I have gone ahead and ordered a second one so that I can have a spare for next few years.Read More
After trying several knee aids, I decided to try this one. Very substantial and gives a lot of support. Does not slip down like the others I own.Read More
It's not Seamless behind the knee for improved comfort. There is a seam but not anymore irritating/chaffing than other seamless I have used. They do have good support, The picture really doesn't show the side supports. You cant beat the price! Thanks "O" once again.Read More

Where are the measurements for each size? For example, if my leg is 20" above the knee, what size do I purchase. Thanks.
These run tight but the picture shows good dimension. I have soccer legs and the medium didn't fit. I gave it to my mom who has thin legs.

Tips on Choosing Ankle Weights
Often used during exercise to increase resistance, ankle weights, sometimes called leg weights, are filled with sand or water and fasten around your ankles. The addition of ankle weights can take your ordinary routine to another level. When used during your aerobic exercises, ankle weights can effectively strengthen your core. If you enjoy power walking, leg weights and other body weights, like wrist weights, can increase the intensity of your workouts, letting you decrease the duration.
Treadmills vs Elliptical Trainers
New variations of tried-and-true exercise machines are always being introduced to the market as the technology of exercise equipment improves. Two exercise machines that have gained popularity are elliptical trainers and treadmills. A major advantage to elliptical trainers is that they possess little risk of injury to the knees, hips, back or ankles. Meanwhile, treadmills are home gym machines on which you can run, walk or jog. The treadmill has been in the marketplace for a long time and is a long-standing piece of standard equipment for most exercise enthusiasts. Elliptical Machines: Elliptical machines present a lower risk of injury to the body. This home gym machine allows the individual to stand in an upright position while supporting her upper body by holding onto the handrails. The individual is able to pick out what muscles to train by shifting the strength on the legs or the arms. This provides for a more flexible workout machine. The machine bears its name because it works to copy the foot's elliptical motion as well as the rotation of the hip during walking or running. Advantages of Elliptical Machines: Since elliptical machines work the upper and lower body, they help you reach your target heart rate more optimally, providing a better cardiovascular workout overall. Individuals can burn a larger number of calories in a shorter period of time. Muscles that benefit from this machine include the legs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps and the back. Elliptical machines are also relatively easy to operate and are energy efficient because they do not use much electricity. Treadmills: Traditional treadmills were developed to help you walk, run or jog. Treadmills differ in advantages as there are some machines that have programs that can be customized based on your weight and fitness level. You can also manually control the program to increase or decrease the speed, the incline or the duration of the workout. Walking on a traditional treadmill, however, creates more impact on the knees and hips and may be a cause of injury for some users. Advantages of Treadmills: Some treadmill models have a cushioned surface to support the knees and other parts of the body. With these models, there is a lower risk of injury and an increased level of comfort for the user. Moreover, treadmills provide you with the option to run, jog or walk in the comfort of the gym. Also, you can burn calories by increasing the heart rate, providing a good cardiovascular workout. Buy Home Gym Machines Back to Guides Directory Buy Home Gym Machines

In addition, using an elliptical trainer instead of a treadmill or other home gym machine helps you avoid injuring your knees, hips, back and ankles. There are several types of elliptical machines available. By making an informed comparison, you can select the best home gym machine for you.
How to Buy Hiking Poles

Hiking poles are used for hiking and long-distance walking to provide extra balance over difficult terrain. Considering how often and where you will be using your poles while outdoors will help narrow your focus when looking at the options available.
Best Styles of Booties for Evening
Ankle boots, or booties, are a versatile fashion option. They can be worn with a variety of outfits for many different occasions, from a lavish dinner at a four-star restaurant to a company party. Pick out evening-appropriate women's ankle boots that add flair and class to your outfit by following a few simple guidelines. Try embellished booties for a trendy look. Women's booties embellished with chains, big buckles, laces and buttons can work great when paired with a short skirt. The exact embellishment you choose is up to you, but no matter what, these extras will lend an edgy touch to your evening outfit. Match the color of your embellishments with the tone of your jewelry for a truly polished, put-together look. Pair women's ankle boots with tights or wear them bare-legged, depending on the formality of the occasion. While black booties tend to go with anything, you can experiment with different colors of embellished booties to give your look a boost. Booties that are a little slouchy also look great with jeans or a skirt. Leather booties look great for every occasion. Leather booties work well for a classic, chic and monochromatic look. Booties without adornments, such as buckles, bows or chains, can be patent leather (for a dressy look), suede or faux leather. Leather booties can be matte or shiny and often come in lace-up styles as well. This works best when you want your style to be understated but still want to add sophistication to your look. Coordinate your ankle boots with your outfit or pick another color to make your clothes pop. Wear them with a knee-length skirt or paired with a pair of dark jeans. You can also wear them with a tunic and thick leggings for a warmer, comfortable look. Open-toe booties are stylish and fashion-forward. If you really want to try something different, give open-toed booties a try. These will lend the most edge to your look. Pair these with a short skirt in order to make them pop. If it's cold outside, you might want to wear these open-toed booties with a pair of matching tights to stay warm. These ankle boots work well for going out to a club or rock concert, but they can also complement a party dress or a pair of jeans for a dressier event.
