Mabis 18-inch Steel Knurled Grab Bar

These bars lack the mounting covers that the more expensive ones do; but, that is a small detail when considering they have the knurled part that the more expensive bars lack. The knurled part provides great confidence when your hands are soapy or just wet. Smooth chrome is hard to hang on to.These also stand off from the wall a little further than others making it easier to grip without hitting your knuckles against the wall.The screws provided are stainless steel, which is very much needed in the environment they are used in. I think some bars don't include stainless steel fasteners.One writer complained that the bars came in multiple containers, which would be a waste of resources and shipping expense. This was not the case with mine. They all came in the same package and did not include any excessive packing material.These are great bars for the money...just remember that their actual performance is only as good as the installation; make sure they are anchored well in a stud (at least one screw on each end) or solid wall.
