We purchased this item to help ease the pain of a pressure sore. This purchase helped make sitting more comfortable. We had tried one of those donut-holes that looked like an inner tube but those can cause hemrroids due to the lack of support in the center of the tubing. It is most important to change positions to help avoid putting additional pressure on the area that is sore.
