I was a little disappointed since the powder was not as dark as the picture indicated. I even went to the product site to make sure I got the right shade. However, I really like Jane Iredale Amazing Base. The amazing base line is really one of the best powders I have used. Great coverage with only a small amount needed, usually. I am having to use another color with this one so I am using more than I usually have to because the shade is too light for me. Amazing base works wonderful with a primer but looks good without it too. I was super excited about finding this product on overstock.com since it is pricey. But I was able to get two here!

    been using this for years and it's awesome. Truly the best and purest one I have found. The pressed version is cleaner to handle, but I find it covers less and is dryer. If you don't think this provides enough coverage try a tinted moisturizer underneath, but most-likely you are applying it with the wrong kind of brush. I find the big brush in the "eco-tools" set from whole foods works very well and is inexpensive. Follow the instruction in the box on how to apply the makeup it helps. But it covers great for me - don't know what loose powders others are comparing it to, but a powder never covers like a liquid, so make sure you know what to expect. I weat the iredale primer then the bb6 foundation and then top it off with this and my skin has never looked better. As far as color goes - I am a fair-ish Italian woman and this color works well for me. If your skin tone is pink, yellow, or other, this is the WRONG color. Hope this helps anyone interested in the product.

It made my face itch immediately, and I can't use the product, but unfortunately for me, I have to keep it as they don't let you return it. I wish I had saw that before I ordered. I can use **** *********, but I sure can't use this.
