The single cutter/foil does not do the job as well as a double cutter/foil. The razor cannot be used using the cord, which is unusual and not disclosed in the advertising material. Also, unlike most of today's razors, it cannot be used on other than 110 V electric feed, so forget about taking it along on a foreign trip.
This razor does an OK job of shaving, if you don't mind the top falling off a couple of times per use which I do! For the price, I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but this is even less than I expected - very cheap product. I am considering returning it.
The product simply does not work well. You would have to shave for about 10 minutes in front of a mirror to get a clean shave, and I have a light beard
This is an average shaver. It doesn't do the best job, but it is probably the best shaver in its price range. The foil wore out and got a hole pretty quickly; within 9 months of use. I'm used to using Braun shavers, and those foils lasted for 2 years or so before getting holes. You can't beat the price, but my next shaver will probably be a Braun again.
I purchased this for my 18yr. old grandson. He would always cut himself with the razors so, I decided to try this electric shaver for him. He was @ my house yesterday and told me that he liked the shaver very much. The value was excellent and the shaver was very goodlooking.
Well worth the money, shaves well, easy to clean. This razer proforms better than the braun or norelco I owned before.
This shaver works ok but a two headed shaver such as the remington works lots better.
I bought my first Izumi Electric Shaver when I realized the cost of that model was less than just the replacement blades I needed for my Norelco. So I bought the Izumi with hopes it might last a 1-year. It lasted nearly 3-years, and it was the battery -- not the blades -- that finally gave-up. Was very pleased to find Izumi's are still sold through Overstock.com. This time I bought two: One for my son and one for Yours Truly. - With those who claim it's a loud machine, I agree. But it's no louder than my Braun toothbrush. - With those who claim it lacks cutting power, I disagree. It cuts better than the Norelco it replaced, buzzing through my 50-something beard without drag or undue pressure. My teenager uses the second one and finds it works well. CONs: [1] Pop-up trimmer doesn't trim close (but few do) [2] New model has smaller cutting area (from twin row to single row) [3] New model lacks Turbo button (new unit may not need battery-saving feature) [4] Cheap storage case PROs: [1] can wet-shave [2] good ergonomics [3] easy-to-clean [4] good battery life [5] auto 120v/240v detection (I Asia-travel) [6] cuts well [7] costs little
Superior value!! Cost about as much as a replacemnet cutting blade and foil. Average cutting ability but very acceptable. Delivery was prompt and came with a free shipping bonus.
good for thick beard . cuts like hedge trimers, but to a smooth finish. GOOD PRODUCT
The foil screen could be made of a sturier material.
For the amount I paid, it is a good razor. So far it seems to have a good motor and has a close shave. I do not have information as far as replacing screens or heads however.
Product arrived in perfect time and didn't have the pay much for it- and it works fine- I will use overstock.com again!
Gives a nice clean shave. It's light and easy to clean.
