Cordless is the only way to go! It gets nice and hot - I bought one for both my kids then saw a 10.00 off coupon - so I got one for me! Decent price as well.

I bought this iron thinking I could use it in my car on the way to work but that is not the case and I'm a bit disappointed....I do use it at home however and so far so good.

I completely disagree with the prior review, I love my iron and I love the low price. I bought one for my sister too. It does recharge on a base but at least I'm not burning my carpet anymore. My mom would get mad when she found burn marks in my bedroom. I love how it is cordless- I used to set my iron on top of its tangled cord when I was doing my hair and burned through the plastic and wires obviously ruining it. I like how you can set it down in the stand standing up so you don't have to worry about what you put it down on. I used to always forget to turn off my iron and now I don't have to worry about it, I <3 it!!!!!

I bought this because all the other ratings were very good, and liked the idea of a cordless straightener. I was first disappointed when I opened the box and saw that there is no way to adjust the heat, and it gets very hot which burns my hair. Second, it works by "charging" on a base, but this is not charging like a cell phone with a battery in it that stays hot, as soon as you take it off the base it starts cooling down just as if you have unplugged a normal straightener. In order to use it, you have to bring the straightener with the base, which is in obviously in two parts and is way more bulky if you are trying to pack it. I have very curly hair too, and I have been to returning it to it's base and re-heat it three times while trying to get ready and so it's taking me a lot longer to get ready. I am so disappointed that I tried to save money by buying this and just found out that I cannot return it...I normally am not picky so I didn't think to look when I purchased it, but it is SOOOO BAD that I wanted to return it and cannot. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID.

I used it once and saw a dramatic difference in my hair. Also, easy to use because it is cordless.
