Okay, so this little blow dryer is fantastic. Don't let any other uneducated review dissuade you from buying this. I am a professional who has worked in NYC for literally the best stylists in the world and I actually have tried basically every dryer worth owning. It certainly isn't a "beginner's" blow dryer or necessary for fine or thin hair. Seriously though, ladies with thick, curly, or coarse hair bust out your wallets it will change your life. And there is a cool setting so an actual "cool shot" is unnecessary, I saw someone complaining about that...

i was looking for a "hot air dryer" & was lead to this "before now unseen genre". when voicing the words "hot air" one naturally assumes some kind of "issuance" of "air flow" which comes forth from say, a dryer of some sort. This is no more than a glorified curling "iron", which denotes a "hair-styling unit which takes upon itself heat & becomes hot in & of itself" but does NOT "blow" hot air. there was no directive on the packaging or in the item description that described this discrepancy, but there you have it. No wonder it was cheaper than a lot of hot air dryers. I kept it for that reason, however, because, for what it is, it is made well & one can use a hair blower to supplement the breeze. Other "hot air brushes" in this price range are very cheaply made & don't last longer than a week.

Most hair dryers make my hair frizzy and I was hoping this one would do better and I was so happy when I tried it and had the smoothest hair I've had in years without straightening it. I don't really understand the technology behind it, but I do know that it works and couldn't be happier. This was a great investment so far and definitely worth the money!
