If you are African American with real kinky hair or fragile hair (aka permed) you aren't suppose to heat your hair at 400 degrees. This iron is not made for people with fragile hair or hair that does not take a lot of heat.

This is my second CHI just like this one. I love the carrier it has because I can use it when traveling and it may be hot to touch and I just put it in its case and go on my way. This is my second, because my girls have taken over the other one. Gotta love it!

I recieved my new Chi straightener a couple of days ago and it came to me in less than a week. I absolutely love it. It leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth. My other straightener make a crunchy sound when straightening but this one doesn't. It is truly the best. I love it so much.

After my flat iron burned out I knew I needed to get another one and fast, and of course Chi is the brand I like to use. Just on an afterthought I decided to check Overstock to see if they carried any...imagine my surprise when I found a wide selection available and at an unbeatable price. Having received my Chi (rather quickly I might add) it works just as well as my old one did; heats up quickly, straightens my wavy hair perfectly, and has a great carrying case for travel. Awesome!

I love this flat iron! I bought a Chi once before at a salon and had to bring it back because it would not get hot enough to straighten my hair. Not with this one, it gets super hot and works fantastic! Great deal at a fraction of the cost at a salon.
