This is the first Chi that I've owned. I can definitely tell the difference between this flat iron and my cheap one. This chi smooths my hair out nicely with little effort. Heats up fast. I really like the felt material around the heating pads - less chance of burning my skin. I have accidently changed the temperature a couple of times - my thumb hits the buttons on the handle (I believe someone else mentioned this). All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase.

The product appears to be new and genuine as represented and so far is working as expected.

This is great for my busy mornings, it goes from cold to full heat almost instantly when turned on. It doesn't get caught on my hair while using it, and adds a smoothness and shine. Great purchase!

This is my 3rd CHI flat iron, and my least favorite. I had the original and then the first 2" turbo (without the digital heat thing). The life span of my irons with everyday use has been 5 years, on both irons. This flat iron has a little gap between the heated plates, so if you need to straighten a small piece of hair, it doesn't hold unless you put the hair at the very end of the iron. Squeeze a little harder you say? For some reason, my hair doesn't run through the ceramic plates as smoothly as it did with my other irons :( Also, the heat thing is weird.....while the iron heats up super fast, it cools down pretty quickly too. So you kinda have to wait a bit for it to heat up again before doing another piece of hair. Soooo, my hair IS straight....but I thought this iron would be just as awesome as my other 2, but it's definitely not.

This Chi flat iron was the perfect size and easy for my daughter to handle. The digital temp reading makes it easy to control the temperature. I would recommend it to anyone.
