I love CHI products. They are some of the best in the hair industry. I purchased the waver thinking it would create big flowing waves. Not exactly. It really creates a krimped look. Not bad, just different than expected. Still like the look and it works really fast for krimping.If you are looking for big bouncy waves, better off with the 1 1/2 inch curling iron.Bought that too and it is FABULOUS!

If you go into this purchase knowing what a standard barrel waver is, than you will love this product. You can even use it as a curlining iron if you want a small curl. If you want to create a deep wave you can use just two of the barrels and wrap hair around them in a figure eight. This is a very versitile tool.

Purchased for daughter for Christmas. Other daughter decided she wanted one. Went out and bought a cheaper brand/model from Ulta. Suprisingly, the cheaper one does a better job. This one turned out not to be worth the money or the hype. CHI is usually a great product, however they don't make the best waver on the marker....save you money, by less expensive and you will be happier. The daughter w/ the CHI wants the other kind now.

i have used 3 barrel wavers for years - my favorite, from, was discontinuted so I tried which has good reputation when I saw on overstock.com. It was truly inferior to the Bed Head product and subsequent ones I have purchased. The barrel configuration was not "deep" enough and the product did not get hot enough. I would definitely NOT recommend this product.

This company made a mistake when designing this product. The third barrel that's in the middle should be on the same side as the other barrels. The Chi "waver" does not produce a waved look like all of the other triple barrel curling irons out there. Like other posts have mentioned, it's an awkward crimped look that's produced instead. I buy the Hot Tools triple barrel curling iron almost every 2 years because the spring on the handle will break after a certain amount of use. I was hoping that this product would be the answer to my problems since it is designed more like a straightener. I am very disappointed.

This tool is like an updated hair crimper. It works very well on my thick, coarse hair. It heats up at a reasonable speed and the digital thermometer shows the temperature as it's heating up.

The barrel or tube size it too thin and should have been listed in the description. I thought they would be larger. The smaller size I received makes hair look crimped instead of the big waves.

I really love Chi products. The wave iron is nice but it takes time to get use to. It also depends on your hair too, whether you get the desired look you want. Still a nice product.
