Elchim 2001 Dryer vs. Chi
My review is comparing the Elchim to my previous dryer (Chi). What I'm working with: My caucasian hair is very long, layered and THICK. The strands are thin, but I have a ton of it. It's also naturally wavy and frizzes easily. Weight: The Elchim is much lighter than my Chi. This is by no means a light weight dryer, but it is significantly more comfortable to hold than the Chi. It's smaller and easier for an amateur to wield. Switches: The switches on the Elchim require a harder push than the Chi, which I like because it's less likely that I'll accidently turn it off while using it. I had that problem with my Chi because the switches are so easy to push. Also, the Elchim has more options (cool, warm and hot) compared to just warm and hot on my Chi. Of course I could hold that little button on the Chi for cool air, but I never did. Drying power: The Chi is louder, but I think the Elchim is more productive. Drying my hair with the Chi took around 25 minutes, but then I had to flat iron and that took another 30-35. I can dry my hair to a finished look with the Elchim in 20 minutes. Forgiveness: Chi's are great dryers for professionals who are able to always blow air down the hair shaft for that sleek look, but I just can't do it. My hair is too long. I'm guilty of doing the wild dry until it's damp and then I use a flat paddle brush and try my best to go down the shaft. The Elchim is completely forgiving in this department. WIth the Chi I ALWAYS had to use a flat iron because my hair was a frizzy mess, but with the Elchim I use a flat paddle brush and then throw it in a loose bun for 15 min to really smooth it down. It's perfect after that. Volume: Because I always had to flat iron after using the Chi, volume was not an option for me. My hair is too heavy and such sleek flat-ironed hair always falls flat. But now that I don't have to use a flat iron with the Elchim I have a LOT more volume. Even my husband noticed it. Results: The Elchim is my dryer of choice. Hands down. 100%. It's easier for me to use, more forgiving of my less-than-technical drying skills, and leaves me with gorgeous hair that I didn't have to work hard for. Hope this helps!

Great Value
My stylist recommended the Elchim brand when I asked about different dryers. The 2001 Classic does dry my thick wavy hair as fast as when I am in the salon. I am not as good as they are at the salon, but I am getting much better results than I expected it to. My hair is smoother, and not frizzy. This dryer is quieter than my old dryer, but not as heavy as I thought it would be. I have used the dryer for a month now and really like it. The cord is longer than I am used, but that is a minor draw back. Mine came wiith the concentrator nozzle and the extra dust filer for the back. I looked at all the reviews from different websites on alot of different dryers before I picked this one. This was my first purchase from Overstock and I am pleased with it.

Elchim Hair Dryer
This hair dryer really makes a difference in the volume of my hair. The force of the air is responsible for more volume and there is a lot of force in this dryer. This is the dryer that salons use and the price on overstock.com was almost 1/2 of the price at the beauty salon. I would definitely recommend this produce.

Elchim 2001 Classic Hair Dryer - Excellent
I already have this hairdryer and it's 3 years old and still working well but I thought I should buy another one before it blows out because I do not want to be without a hairdryer. This is an excellent, light weight hairdryer with a nice long cord. I have curly hair and always blow it straight so I use it often and the first dryer is still going. I would recommend this hairdryer to everyone. It is a hairdryer that will last a long time and works extremely well. I have excellent results with my hair all the time (that is weather permitting). It is well worth every penny.

Good Hairdryer
For the price this a a pretty good hairdryer. The high setting could be a bit hotter, but it drys my short fine hair quickly and efficiently. You could spend more but you don't need to.

Nice weight, not too heavy, but has a little weight to it, feels durable. Made my hair look so much better than the conair dryer that I used previously. Good price for a great dryer. get it.

Great Hair Dryer
This is an excellent dryer. I have long and thick hair and with my other dryers eg. Conair I always had frizzy hair. I was convinced that I was doing something wrong because my hair was frizzy when I dried it myself but from the salon the hair was amazing. I don't put any hair products into my hair. I did some research and it turns out that my other dryers were the reason. I still didn't believe it but ordered this dryer to see. After the first time using it I could not believe the difference. My hair was straight, soft, no frizz and lots of body/volume. I had my mom try it too. She loved it so I'm ordering one for her for Christmas.
