If you need a mobility scooter that is portable and easy to transport, this is it. It fits nicely in the trunk of our Cadillac CTS, disassembled to 4 pieces. The basket can be used as a cooler by lining it with a plastic bag, putting ice and your favorite beers and booze in it. Excellent for casinos and the Vegas strip. Highly recommended.
Very disappointed with the hard wheels. This is a portable scooter designed to be disassembled for easy transport. That I would assume means outside. It feels like I’m riding a Mattel hot wheels trike. You feel every grain of dirt as you’re jittering down the sidewalk. These solid wheels were designed for indoor use. I went online to see if there any solutions but so far not. I’m willing to spend the extra money for pneumatic wheels. I’ll have to call Drive medical. Other than the plastic ride the front end is heavy. I would have to pay more for the 3 wheeled version. The good news is that there’s a hitch in the back of the seat to fit an oversized basket. The little toy basket in front is there in my opinion for profile aesthetics. it is impossible to snap all 3 holding brackets , just the top 2 will fit. The tiller angle lock is a good solid chunk of metal. The tiller panel was nicer than I thought it would be. it has an 8 foot turning radius. Which means switch to the market carts at the door.
My husband is able to handle this scooter well. He's had a stroke, and has terminal lung cancer and he is still able to hop on this thing and zip all over the neighborhood. It is a bit difficult to use inside if you have a small, older home. It isn't made for outside use but does well on sidewalks and pavement. It sure put a big smile on his face.
