This chair was bought as a lighter wheelchair alternative for a young child and it is working out well for us. It is very light, folds up easily (practically self collapses when lifted sideways to load in the trunk), and the handlebars are a good height for anyone pushing. The brakes and footrest latches are accessible from the seat for a taller child, or an adult. Also, the wheels were larger and of better quality than we expected. We had considered other models with larger back wheels to deal with curbs, thresholds, etc., but these are larger enough to handle those. There are rear foot steps for tilting, which is good, as it is fairly well balanced, and would be difficult to tip back without them. That being said, there are no anti-tip features, and not many options for adding them after the fact, if that is a concern for the rider. The only issues keeping it from an excellent rating are that the arm rests are just high enough to graze the underside of restaurant tables, and there are no catches for the leg rests when they are swung out to the side. A simple clip would keep them stowed nicely when they aren't needed. The product arrived several days early which was great. We had originally ordered one from a major medical equipment provider, but were put on extended back order after we had ordered (and paid). No such shenanigans from Overstock. If you are on the fence about getting one of these, I would definitely recommend this one for the low price, good quality, and very light weight.
