The size and magnification are perfect for a travel mirror. However, the lighting is very poor. It does not make the appearance of my face much brighter than with regular room lighting.

I first ordered a mirror that was 10X magnification, which was TOOOO much. Nobody needs to see every hair follicle... at least I don't. This 5X mirror is a bit stronger than what I was using, but it works well. I like the fact that it has built in lighting, so if I am in a place where the lighting is poor, I have a back-up lighting source.

Yes - the title will make sense now:) I am in my 50s and the eyesight is going. I have looked at dozens of mirrors (lighted) and it was either a single light, tube lights (expensive to replace), needed to be plugged in, etc. Well ladies - I promise you if you are in the same boat - this is the mirror for you. Multiple led lights around the frame, 5x magnification, and portable. In fact, I think it works too well - I never saw those lines before I had this mirror! Makes eyebrow grooming so easy - day or night. I love it.

I bought this mirror for travel to places without good lighting. The lights on this mirror don't help a bit. The mirror is good quality, but if you need the help of the lights, this isn't the mirror for you. The price is good, the service from Overstock was excellent, but this product isn't returnable so don't buy it if you are basing your purchase on the lights.

Excellent magnifying mirror with no distortion, but the light isn't bright enough to illuminate the subject.

Needed to get a magnifying make-up mirror since the eyes aren't working as well as they used to (It's hard to put on mascara strictly by "muscle memory"). Anyway, I picked up a full-size mirror for home and this one for travel. I'm very pleased with this choice. It's light-weight, easy to adjust, and the light is surprisingly bright for a portable mirror. The mirror is sized well enough to give you good views. A great value for the price!

the backside is a very cheap looking white plastic...the light is not bright enough, won't change much whether it is on or not.

Nice compact mirror, with no contortions. Worth the price paid. Portable, lighted. I used it on my recent travel abroad and was very pleased.

Great value for the money. I looked at others and found them to be more expensive for smaller, and not as well made mirrors.
