Overrated
I thought this was to be more harmonic then it is. The beads fall every once in awhile after you turn it over and they detach from the adhesive on the inside lid. I was looking to have something like a rain stick that would provide a steady stream sound when turned over and turned back upright. This product is overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend it.

Unique Gift
I bought two similar rain chimes and this one wins hands down. Not to much to assemble, easy instructions, nicely made. It has delicate sounding chimes. The more you use it the better it works. Not too big, could be put on a desk top or next to a bed. Gave it as a gift, wish I had bought one for myself.

Great Way to Relax
I had owned one of these rainfall boxes (a larger version) which was accidentally dropped/broken so I was very happy to find it again on Overstock.com I like the smaller version for tabletop use. I keep it in my sun room which has a high ceiling so when the chimes ring, the sound carries all over the room. One thing that the instructions didn't mention was that you must remove two of the inner foam packing strips, otherwise your chimes will not chime, they will "thud." The inserts with the "zig zag" on them are meant to remain inside... but the other two foam pieces need to be removed. Something else that is mentioned in the directions but I strongly recommend users to do is after you have peeled off the protective sheet from the adhesive (under the top of chime) be sure to press on it several times with your fingers to reduce the stickiness. This will allow for the balls to fall more easily and give you a really nice chiming sound... otherwise it can take several weeks for the glue to naturally begin to lose some of its stickiness and the balls won't fall in a musical way. (If you've never owned one of these, what I just typed probably makes NO sense but just trust me....LOL) Great product... great price.... great, soothing background noise.

Product Returned
The sound concept was interesting; but disappointing, especially for the cost. The ball bearings (tens of them) are to drop (unpatterned) into small cymbals, lasting for hours. The problem lies in what holds the ball bearings prior to dropping... a two sided adhesive paper. Also, the ringing sounded poor and cheap. It was supposed to be a gift; I'm glad I didn't send it straight to my friend.
