With all the hype about this brand I guess I was expecting more, the price was fair on overstock especially compared to everywhere else I have seen it

The iron is awesome. I loved my flat iron before; and now I can do the same thing as far as flattening out my uneven bumps. It finishes the ends with a nice curl or I can make big cork screw curls throughout. It looks more updated than just straightening the whole thing. The iron curls so fast; it takes me no time at all to fix my hair!

Great Product! Heats fast and produces beautiful bouncy curls. Smooths hair just like the Chi Flat Iron but into curls instead of straight. I had a large barrel conair iron for a while and I am kicking myself for not purchsing this CHI a long time ago. The results are like night and day! Well worth every penny! This is my favorite hair styling tool....EVER

This is the best curling iron I have owned. Usually would buy a lower end common brand. This was 2-3 times what I would usually spend but work every penny

Returned the curler, becase the barrel was too large for me to handle, when curling my hair.

I've been curling my hair since I was in third grade. I've gone through many, many curling irons. Eventually, I stopped curling my hair because of the damage. I just bought this and it's absolutely amazing!!! That hair you see on TV: flawless, not frizzy, shiny. That's exactly what you'll get! I just tried it. I loved it some much I just ordered another one for my sister!!

It heats up to 310 degrees in 30 seconds on low or 330 on high. The power on/off is inline with the sleek blue line design of the handle. At first I thought it was heavier than my old iron but when you use it, it is very balanced and doesn't feel heavy at all. There is a large enough end piece so you won't but your fingers. I couldn't be more pleased with this curling iron.

This is a huge curling iron! It was a lot bigger than I thought it was. I thought I was purchasing the 1 inch but it works perfect on my hair and it gives my hair a layered look. I love Chi products!

I had an old Hot Tools 1.5 curling iron that I'd been using for about 5 years, when it finally died. I have below shoulder colored, blonde hair that I use the curling iron to help straighten out a slight wave and curl my ends under...nothing too fancy. I experimented with a straight iron for about a month since this tool has been so popular, but I didn't get my ends to hold onto their curl very well, so I bought this iron due to Chi's reputation. This iron gets really really hot! There is a digital display and you use up & down buttons to set your temp. I keep mine at 320 because my hair is fine and fragile due to coloring, but it can get much hotter. It gets hot very quickly and my hair is shiny and typically holds it's style until the next time I wash it. The two drawbacks with this is there is no auto shut-off, which is shocking for the price and for as hot as this gets. It could absolutely be a fire hazard. The other problem is that you have to keep your hair from the hinge. I've lost many a strand that got caught in the hinges and pulled out. I never had this problem with my cheaper Hot Tools iron. Not sure I'd repurchase, but it does a good job if you are looking for a high heat iron.

Ive had this curling iron for about a month now and so far so good!! I LOVE how smooth and soft it has made my hair. My husband and others have commented and complimented me on how shiny my hair looks. It doesn't pull on your hair like lots of other curling irons do and it makes it really smooth. Living in Ar where our summers are hot and humid, this curling iron is keeping me from having the frizzies. LOVE that. If you're wanting a curling iron to really curl your hair, this size is not going to do it. It puts more body in your hair and makes it smooth, more so than curl it. It's quicker than a flat iron, yet doesn't make your hair straight, but gives it body!! I am very pleased with it! If I had to say one thing I didn' like about it, it would be the buttons being on the side. On occasion, I will accidentally turn it off. It does take a little getting used to but not a problem and no reason to not buy this curling iron.

Got the bigger curling iron first. Too big for my hair so gave it to my granddaughter then ordered the smaller size.

My wife loves this iron...she has thick, coarse hair, and the high temperature that is available works great on her hair. It makes curls without any frizz, and the curls last.

It takes time to figure out how to use it, there are no tips in the directions..you need spray to dampen the hair or it is more like a straightener..there was a scratch on the finish on the edge of the arm looks like it came form the factory.
