It does the job But it's not the best. I have a similar convertible ladder/handcart at my summer home but wanted something similar for our winter place. Couldn't find a brand on my old one, so hoped this would be comparable. My old one seems more substantial (the handcart portion) and is much easier to engage - with this one you have to be sure the steps are aligned then flip the handcart part out, then close the steps. Even then you have to keep the handcart at a particular angle to load, an issue my old one doesn't have. I'll manage but I don't love it.

I have one of these at my summer home and it's been an enormous help. Sturdy and tall enough to reach most anything in the house without hauling up a step ladder. The handcart aspect is helpful when I need to move something heavier than I can manage and it folds up compactly to fit in the coat closet.
