sarosebud from San Antonio, TX, Rating:1.0I live in a warm climate and am post-menopausa/ always hot! I was looking forward to using this like a smaller and lighter Chillow, but easier to grab and use while sitting or in bed. It did not work for me. Within 20 minutes it was warm. I tried refrigerating it and got similar results. It is nice for a few minutes, but nowhere near an hour or hours. My Chillow stays cool for hours, but it is bulky and heavy, so I only use it in bed. I was going to return this pad, but their shipping return cost was more than $X! I guess I'll keep it, but I'm not happy about it.

ussrei from Atlanta GA, Rating:5.0I am a cancer patient and require a lot of heat for pain. The gel cooling pad allow heat to the pain area and does not burn or blister. I love it.

kestral63 from VA, Rating:2.0It's a thin strap of fabric meant to hold a hot/cold gel pack under your wrist. The gel pack is small, like a disposable hand warmer, but does its job. Unfortunately wearing the strap feels like constantly holding up a plastic bag of groceries with your thumb. You have to stretch the thing to position the pack properly, and all elastic pressure is thinly pressed against the inside of the joint. Maybe if it were larger or specifically shaped to fit a hand, that wouldn't be an issue. Though far less convenient, I can still wear it like a wrist band, so there's that.
