I purchased this phone for my husband who is hard of hearing. It is wonderful as he can set the ring tone and audible tone so he can hear them. He loves the idea of pictures of the children on the dial. I would definitely recommend this phone.

This phone is wonderful for the elderly, sight problems & hearing problems. I bought this phone for my mom & the features she use are very good. There are alot of features to complicated for her (age 76). But I am thinking about getting one for myself.

My hard of hearing parents love the phone and had no trouble acclimating to it. The ringer is very loud, and the amplification works well for my very hard of hearing Dad. Trying to make little pictures for the one-touch picture keys was a bit challenging for me, but I managed and they love it. The phone has lots of features, and a nice easily readable screen. The best news is that they haven't had to call and ask how to use this or that. It was also a fairly good value for the money considering all the features. We are all very satisfied with the phone and would recommend it to others.

I received my Clear Sounds CST corded phone about two weeks ago. I am very impressed with the quality and design of this product and find it an excellent choice for those with hearing loss like myself. The large buttons and talking format also make it very useful for the visually impaired. The manual is well written and tech support very responsive and helpful. The "low" settings on the speaker, handset, ringer and the voice function are very loud and I would prefer less volume on that setting as there are two higher settings. The excellent tone control only works in the "amplified" mode which is easy to switch to, but as it is extremely loud it would be good to have tone on normal mode too. Clarity is as important as volume for me. Although the information is on the large, clear, LCD screen, I would like to see an indicator light each for received calls and for recorded calls, instead of one for both. I could then identify if I there are messages from a distance. The built-in answering machine has made a huge difference in my comprehension of recorded messages. I’m not sure about the “slow” playback mode though, as it tends to make callers sound a bit drunk. I haven’t it used that much to know if it can really help me out.

Great phone. easy to use and works as advertised. This is nit picking but all I could come up with: The photos that fit into the speed dial buttons have to be very small. 1/2 inch square. Almost too small for an older person to tell the difference between photos. I just wrote our names instead which are easily readable. Also the flashing red message waiting indicator is hard for an old person to get to shut off. It goes on when you miss a call and also if a message is left. My mom listen's to her messages but the light does not go off. She also has to scroll through all the missed calls before the light will go out. There is a switch to shut the indicator off permanently. I would buy the phone again and highly recommend it.

This phone is great! Not only is the sound amplified, but it also announces the person's name that is calling (once you set it up.) The ring and announcement is loud, and my mother now is calling all her friends because she can hear them clearly. Great purchase. Love Overstock.com

I bought this phone for my mom. She uses the speakerphone a lot when she answers the phone and we can hear her loud and clear. The buttons are large and easy to use. The built-in answering machine and phone number announcement are great and allow her to screen phone calls so she doesn't have to rush to get the phone only to find that it is a telemarketer. Being able to adjust the tone and the ringer is very helpful and she can hear the phone from all rooms now. I loved being able to program the numbers and add our pictures for the speed dial numbers as well as the Emergency button. She was amazed at how easy it was to use. The only issue I have with the ClearSounds Amplified CSC1000 Freedom Phone is that the blinking red light notification blinks when there is a new call and when there is a voicemail waiting. It would be nice if there was a way to distinguish between whether you have a voicemail or if there is just a call. I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants a phone that is easy to use but has a lot of nice features that makes it stand out from all the rest.

My parents complained often about how difficult it was speaking on the phone with their hearing aids. Mom was getting quite depressed about it. With six kids and six grand kids, the phone was her lifeline to us. After reading the reviews on this phone, I surprised them with the purchase. They are absolutely thrilled with it! Their favorite feature is how the phone announces who is calling (you can record the names of favorite callers). They don't have to jump up to check the caller ID. The sound quality is amazing, and they can hear every word spoken. Once again, Overstock is outstanding!!

I ordered this phone for my mother who is hard of hearing. Although I set it and shipped it to her (we leave 2,000 miles apart), she had difficulty setting it up. She called ClearSounds customer support who is US based. They were terrific in helping her over the phone in setting up the unit. She is using the phone exclusively now and is very pleased with it. The voice quality is excellent, controls are easy to use and answering machine works well. High quality product with fantastic customer support.

Bought this for my 80-yr. old Mom. Main complaint is that you cannot totally control the volume of the voice out - VERY LOUD all the time. The volume level for receiving voice sound could be louder. The manufacturer should look at reversing the levels - louder handset level for receiving voice sounds and lower / or more control of answering machine message voice out to lessen volume.

this phone is wonderful! I purchased it for a 93 year old neighbor who had a horrible time with conventional phones. She's very hard of hearing, but she's doing great with this phone. She also loves the answering system because it too is amplified. Great product!

My 88-year old Mom - who lived across the street until last month - has entered assisted living, and looks forward to talking to me every day. With her profound hearing loss, this was difficult. Her audiologist suggested that we get her a phone with a 55dB boost - and we found this one. It also has an answering machine, so when we travel on business and can only call at odd times, Mom always knows we are thinking of her. The sound quality is excellent, and the phone was easy to set up for her. The large lighted keypad and screen are great, with large text, and the one-touch dialing is especially a help when she wants to call her adult grandson - in another area code - so one-touch beats typing in 11 digits.
